Accessory Buys Reviews

I ordered 2 otterboxes and never received them. Website says it's down for repairs. I would suggest tp you to call your bank and dispute the charge and they should refund your money. I talked to my bank and the name of the company that showed on my credit card was "Acctownonline" . You need to give them the date and amount and they can look it up for you. Hope that helps!

Still waiting

I, too ordered and never got my stuff! Website is down when I check

  • Feb 20, 2015

I made an order on the web and was waiting for it to arrive as the bank had been charged already, I was waiting for an email saying it would be delivered on a date, so I would be sure to have my gate open! after about 30 days I returned to the website and it was down,vanished..

I went to my bank and reported a dispute had to get a new debit card and the bank put my money back in my account.

Then I was just messing on the computer and thought I would see if the site was back NO but this site came up so here I am making a report so others do not get riped off.. Make sure you watch for Credit card safty when ordering online...

I ordered a pink lifeproof case for my iPhone 5s online at AccessoryBuys.com. I received an e-mail asking me to complete my account information. I clicked on the link and it said the site was down for maitenance. I thought this was weird but decided to try again the next day.

The next day, I tried again to no avail. I became worried that this was a scam. I did some research and found that many other people had trouble with them too. I couldn't find any information to contact the company and began to accept that I had been scammed.

One month later, I recieved a tracking e-mail from UPS saying that my order had been shipped. A week later I look at the tracking information and found that it had been delivered. When I opened the yellow envelope, I saw two clear plastic phone cases, one of which had a brown smudge on it. I am infuriated.

I ordered an heavy duty Otterbox iphone case. I received a flimsy clear "skin" one layer snap on piece of thin plastic.

I ordered 3 otter boxes and a life proof case. After a month I received an email conformation with a usps tracking number and today I received a tiny plastic case. I guess I should have knew this was too good to be true and should have checked into the site more. This is the first problem I've had ordering supplies online and it turned out to an expensive lesson. From now on, I will defonately do research on all company's I order from.

Ordered 2 otterbox iphone cases through Accessorybuys and never received them. Tried to go to their website and it is not working. After seeing other complaints, I called my Credit Card company to dispute the charge to my CC. They told me the name of the company that showed on my account was "Acctownonline". I went to that website and it is the same as Accessorybuys so they have already set up a new name/website to scam people. Acctownonline was set up through GoDaddy.com. I have contacted them and they gave me a email address to report this company [email protected] . You should report this to your bank and file a conplaint to receive your money back.

I am an "Old School" Cell phone repair guy in the industry for over 20 years, so I've seen it all. I should have gone online to look up Accessory Buys, but there's so much that matches that Google search and probably why they pick derivatives of that name.

As I found out here, they've been doing this awhile under many similar names. Their newest is accessorybuys.com. I originally ordered over $500 of Otterbox Defender Cell phone cases to sell in my store, and paid with my Chase CC. I immediately got a return email from Accessory Buys stating the order was canceled because it could not be over $250 with shipping. I figured it was because they wanted to capitalize on the S&H, but I think now it was an attempt to fly below the radar..

So I ordered two different orders of just below $250. I received receipts stating my order was now awaiting shipping; and it looked legit. I ordered these on 1/26/15. Today's mail came and went so I inquired about my orders. The site is already 404! Talk about fly by night! The funny thing is, the charges never went on my card, so either they finally got caught, or Chase caught them and refused the charge. However, Chase never contacted me, which is strange too. So my orders are not coming in and I had customers waiting, but at least I did not lose $500. Watch out for these scammers. I know what to look for and almost got scammed. I think the site was linked through either eBay or Amazon too, adding to its legitimacy.

I will be scanning for illegitimate charges on my card the next few weeks.

The website is very legitimate looking. Has all the workings for purchasing, confirming order, and follow up email.

The address on my confirmation invoice is:

Accessory Buys

94-28 Springfield Blvd. Ste 3

Queens Village, NY 11429

Waited a week for my order to show up before going online to track. Their website has been down for maintenance for a few days now.

Prices were good but not unrealistic. Guess I'm out $40.

Scam

After making purchase the website is gone and they are not responding to emails. When I contacted my credit card company they said the charge came through as acctown.com not accessorybuys.com and that acctown.com is still in existence so I need to wait 2 weeks until I am sure that no product is received before i can dispute the claim.

Ripped Off

Ordered $55.00 worth of I-Phone covers two weeks ago from Accessory Buys. Doesn't look like I will ever see them. BUYER BEWARE !!!

iphone cases

The got me in December. They were accessory bargains then. After a month and plenty of ugly emails they sent me fake iphone cases. Prior to doing this they changed their name to ny accessories. After I complained they changed their name the next day to accessory buys. Contact your bank and they will credit your money and investigate. Mine did!

scam

Got me for $45. What a scam

Scammed 2

They got me for $111.00. I don't buy online often and will never again. Expensive lesson learned.

Naked 2 & 3 Urban Decay and Bare Minerals. Ordered $90 worth of very nice makeup on the cheap. Too good to be true? Oh you bet!! Status: Waiting to be fulfilled all week long. By the end of the week the website is gone and so is my money! I should have guess when the money came out of my account and it hadn't shipped yet. It looks like somehow the site read my cookies or search history and offered great prices on the things I was particularly searching the internet for. Beware...a legit looking website with all the right stuff. I'm pretty savvy and they got me. Save your $$ and don't buy anything here !

Scammed!

They got me too. Mine was only around $35. I'm pretty sick to my stomach about it all. I guess it's my fault for falling for something like this. My only hope it that they get caught!
