Over seven years ago my wife and I wanted to adopt a child and came across Adoption Facilitation Services
(now called Adoption Information Center) . We gave Rick and Susane Rose $4,500 as a retianer and signed a contract whereby they were supposed to find a birth mother and match for us to adopt. After several months they stopped calling us and we heard nothing.
We ended up taking them to Small Claims Court for breach of contract whereby the commisioner awarded in our favor. The Roses appealed the decision but lost again in the Court of Appeal. A judgement was subsequently issued against Mr. Rose for the award amount.
It's been over 8 years and we have received nothing. Don't take my word for it. A background check on Mr. Rose is all anybody has to do to find out who you are dealing with. Stay clear of Adoption Information Center. Hire an attorney who works for you and can protect you from these types of people.
