ADT LLC Reviews

Hello Mr Naren Gursahaney,

It is so sad that the CEO has to get an email like this, instead of "thank you" letters!!

A bad sales team can make or BREAK a company, if you keep them!

There is way more to this story that I am not please with, but the highlights are according...

This place is a SCAM. They say one thing and do another, then charge you for it all. We were told one thing and then we were billed way way more. We refuse to pay because that is not what we agreed on, but they keep saying that's our contract and we cant do anything, so we will get a lawyer, and win in court. Also when we win, we will have more grounds to sue them for false representation and misconduct. The sales lade Charlotte told us one thing then we get billed for another thing, way more. So we have records, and dates with time of who we spoke to, we are even contacting the CEO Naren Gursahaney top let him know what this team at the 1120 Palmyrita Ave, Suit #280, Riverside, Ca, 92507 is doing to businesses in California. In fact I have contacted the entire shopping center our business is in, and we are all cancelling the service with ADT.

The sales person comes here talking all friendly and saying she will "hook" you up, this means she will be-friend you and charge you up the behind! YES we feel violated and lied to, the charges were not all what she said for the installation, she talks to you, then just says sign here and here, "i got you" she says. When we contacted her on the FIRST invoice, she said she was going to take care of it and have her "home girl" take care of it. I said "take care of what?" Why are we being charged, she said it was a wrong charge,. So I emailed a supervisor named , she was nice until I told her what was going on, then she stopped emailing me!

Two weeks later, Christmas comes, and I keep contacting people at ADT, no one helps, I get hung up on about 7 times, YES 7 TIMES. This is a joke, Then on 1/13/2015 4:25 "Amy" from the "national call center" hangs up on me too. WOW, ADT you are the WORST service and we will NEVER pay you for your horrible service, Charlotte, shame on you for doing this to us and placing us in this situation, you are a bad human for this! Do not come in ur business, you are not welcome here anymore. as far as ADT, you will not get paid one cent for your horrible service, in fact I will see you in court with my lawyers.

If you wish to contact me, if there is a manager anywhere at ADT, then you can do so if you are calling to fix the situation, wave ALL the money due, and come take your pile of junk equipment out, and fix the holes you have made. That easy, can you handle this?.

Had the misfortune of siging up with these clowns a couple of years ago for their home security system. After installing some type of window vibration sensors, and managing to crack one of our windows in the process, every time there is a thunderstorm, their junk sensor sends false alarm signals to the monitoring station, the cops are summoned, then, the city hits us with a bill for a "false alarm." Despite the fact we have told these idiots time and time again to call us first before calling the cops, they keep right on sending them without our knowledge, until after the fact. Thus far, I have had to pay several hundred dollars to the city of Tampa for this BS (another bunch of scammers I might add), have advised ADT that they need to come and replace the sensor(s) free of charge, since they are obviously defective, but they will not do so, they always want to hit you with their "service charge" for 10min. worth of work, which usually runs around 167 dollars, depending. After going through their "appeals" process to get a refund for the false alarms, about six weeks later they send a form letter to the effect that: "we've investigated your situation full, but sorry buddy, no refund for you, tough luck." Thank God there are only a few more months of being stuck with this schlock outfit, and then we'll be free. No more false alarms, no more extortion fees from the city. This company is morally bankrupt, greedy, their equipment is junk, they are essentially worthless, and I'm sorry I ever signed up for their s***** "service." I still remember when we first moved in to our home about two years ago, and this little squirrel with his little ADT shirt on comes running up to our door from out of nowhere with his BS spiel about the great service and security his s***** company is offering, what a joke. Steer clear of these con artists, you'd be better off getting a pit bull or rottweiler to guard your house.

ADT Security has not kept their many promises to make sure that my alarm works and that their office will monitor my home whenever the alarm goes off. My alarm system has never worked in many years, no matter how often you try to get them to come out and replace the old system with an upgrade to the ADT Pulse system. The ADT Pulse system has been installed and it doesn't work because they don't have the right parts to make it work and this has been going on since last year and the beginning of this year to present. My alarm system is not working and my home is not being monitored by ADT Pulse as promised. Although they are billing me as if the system is working, but they know like I know that they need some additional parts in order for the installers to repair a brand new system to make it work. I am not sure what it's going to take for ADT to realize that they need to hire better technical installers and have them attend new up to date workshops to learn new techniques of installing the new ADT Pulse system, because they haven't gotten my system to work today. I am not paying them any money until this system is up and running without me having to have the repairman return over and over again as I have had to do from January of 2014 to present. No one seems to care about me as a customer, because my system is still not working and I don't know when they are planning on doing something about it. No matter how often I call them, they will promise you the world and give you nothing. Something needs to be done about this.

Two to three months ago, we had a power outage at our house. When the lights came on, the alarm starting sounding with a 'Fire' alarm. We do not have fire monitoring, so I called ADT. After walking me through a few basic troubleshooting steps, the phone CSR scheduled an appointment for a tech to come out and check our system.

The first technician arrived around 11:00a on a Wednesday morning. He looked at the unit, and told my wife it would require a new part. He mentioned that the panel was due to be upgraded, so there would be no charge for the replacement. He left, saying he would call back when he learned of the availability of this part. Around 1:30 to 2:00p that same day, I called ADT to find when the part would be available. I was told it would not be in until Friday, and the next available tech was the following Wednesday. I told the CSR that was unacceptable that we be without an alarm for over 7 days. They told me they were escalating the call, and that someone would call right back. During the rest of the day, I called back four separate times, and was promised every time that someone would call 'right back', but I would never receive a call. Finally, the last person I spoke with said they would have the local Service Manager call me back.

In about 30 minutes, he called me back. I told him my concerns about waiting for the part, and also the installation, and he said he had the part in front of him, and didn't know why I was told it would be several days. He also mentioned that he had a tech that had a cancelled call, and he could come out immediately. I told him my wife would be home, and to send the tech as soon as possible. The second tech arrived, and replaced the damaged panel within the hour.

Now, on Thursday, July 3, 2014, I receive a bill from ADT for $501.53. It also says it is 30 days overdue, yet this is the only notice I have received of this bill. I called the company, and was told that it was determined to be lightning damage, and we now owe this amount. At no time was my wife, nor myself, ever told there would be any charge, or even the possibility of a charge. We did not agree to pay this amount, nor did we sign anything authorizing a charge.

I paid a bit over $400 for the initial install, so why would I have agreed to a $500 charge for just a piece of the original install? Had I been told about this charge (or possibility of a charge), I would have said never mind, and went with another company.

I was told on July 3, 2014 that the CSR was going to contact the local Service Manager, and that he would be in touch with me on Monday July 7th, or Tuesday July 8th. Today is July 12, 2014, and I have never received a call from anyone at ADT. I have also filled out their online 'Contact Us' form on Monday, July 7th, 2014, and have also heard nothing back from that contact.

I purchased two security alarm systems from ADT, and was promised $300.00 in VISA gift cards. I had to remind the installing technician to have these cards sent to me.

Instead of receiving the $300.00 in gift cards, I received another application (after filling one out completely with ADT for my alarm system), and this application REALLY annoyed me as they now asked I submitt an additional fee ($5 or $10) in order to process the application for the gift cards.

I complained to the customer service department at ADT over 2 months about how they intentionally choose to make it another step in the process for people to get the money they have been promised. By asking people to fill out another form and also include extra cash, that is a way for this crafty organization NOT to keep their comittment to customers who are deserving of there cash incentive.

I called ADT today June 23, 2014, and demanded to speak to a customer service manager. I spoke to Barbara - customer service manager, and explained how LOW LIFE it is to have to go through extra hoops in order to receive what I have been promised.

I told Barbara that I have dealt with rebates in the past but never had to fill out extra forms and submitt extra money in order to get back what I weas promised. I told her how "crafty" and un cool that was to play those games with your paying customers. By having people go through extra hoops, ADT is certainly NOT having to honor its refund campaign... slimey slimey slimey way of doing business.

I guess Barabara must have agreed, as she stated that within 14 days from today that I would receive by $300 in the form of a cheque f4rom Defender Direct. Lets see what happens.

I write to let other customers or prospects oif ADT know that you have to waste at least one hour of your time on hold and speaking with customer service in order to have your rights and needs met. America really needs to donwsize the monopoly of big business as they only care about their share holders and not the people that are there customers.

I should not have had to contact two different customer service managers over the course of two months in order to get satidfaction. SHAME ON YOU ADT!

Over a year ago we had our phone service changed to U-Verse digital and unbeknownst to us the alarm system was disconnected. Since that time we have been unmonitored by ADT and did not know it until recently. ADT refuses to refund money or make any accommodations always referring us back to our contract which says it is our responsibility to maintain the system. We have tested it here at the house and it works locally but we had no idea that it was no longer connected to their monitoring system. After 14 months of no trouble signals or alarms from our system a person might expect ADT to check in with us but as long as our payment checks kept arriving at their door they were happy. As far as the contract goes, we probably read it 15 years or so ago when the system was installed but really who remembers a complicated legal document that long; it's basically a trap.
