I spent over $300.00 to swim with Manatees. Not only did I not swim with Manatees, we didn't even see a Manatee. All we did was bake in the hot sun on a broken down pontoon boat. They never told us that it was the slow season but they were very eager to take my money.
I had three small children who had been looking forward to swimming with Manatees. It is extremely underhanded to take people's money when they know how unlikely it is to see a Manatee this time of year. Not only did it cost us over 300 bucks but we drove over 3 hours from Orlando and wasted a valuable day of our vacation. Shame on you Adventure Diving. Then when we got back the Manager Dave said, "sorry, how about half off your next visit". He then proceeded to hand me a card for me and my friends to half off our next tour. I found it interesting that he had a stack of these cards readily available for dissatisfied customers.
Was he serious? He just ripped me off of over 300 bucks and he thinks I'm going to come back and bring friends. When I replied, that this was not acceptable he stated the owner Captain David Dipietro would call me that evening and surely "make it right". Well, I left messages and sent an email and I'm still waiting for Captain David.
Adventure Diving is run by a bunch of unscrupulous scammers. Don't waste your money and more importantly your precious vacation time. SHAME ON YOU ADVENTURE DIVING!
