Alexandria Hotel Reviews

I have lived here for 15 months and not one single thing that I have complained about has been fixed here. Those things include no hot water, no water pressure, (water just completely stops at times daily) elevators broken down or you get stuck in them until the FD arrives. Fire alarm goes off for no reason almost daily, people (drunks / prostitutes / etc.) roam the halls at night making noise and screaming and yelling or both. If the Idiots roaming don't make enough noise to satisfy you, then the neighbors or the bar downstairs WILL.

This place is a complete effing nightmare to live in and I would not even want Barrack Obama to live here and I hate him.

A digitally altered video is playing in the rental office. I was watching that and laughing my a** off. I was thinking - wait, where are all the marks on the walls outside, the vandalism? It was all digitally removed. Same thing with the interior unit shots. I don't know what building those interior pictures were taken in but it either was not here or it was a unit they made special for that video. Because every unit I have seen, and I sae more than a few when I was picking a unit and when they had to move me before because of problems, every unit I had seen was run down, missing tiles in the bathroom, stoves that were messed up and water pressure and it non existant. What a DUMP this place is.

Ever since I moved in here 11 months ago, I have been trying to get them to fix the water pressure. When you turn it on, it comes out at the same speed as like when you urinate. It takes 2 hours to fill the tub and a shower? Forget it! I constantly got splinters in my feet from the destroyed wooden floor that someone had previously just painted over with brown paint to repair. That is not how you repair a wood floor. Whenever you see a place that paints the floors dark brown, that is your red flag that there are roaches. They paint the floors brown so they are hard to see so you don't complain about them all the time. Because they don't want to have to pay to have the bug people spray. When I complained about the splinters in the floor, I was told by the Jew owner that he refuses to repair the floor based on the fact that when I moved in the floor was fine. What a joke. I had to call the Housing Authority and the City Inspector who came over and saw it and told the owner that he has to repair the floor. i wish these people would just do the right thing and fix things like they are legally supposed to, inspead of making me get the government involved.

I have also complained that the drain lever it the bath tub always gets stuck. The repairman came up and fought with it for a few minutes and finally got it to close. Then he said: see, it works. Un-effing believeable! The office then said it works so we wont replace it. I guess it's going to be back the city inspectors office again for the water pressure and the lever. I took a video of the water completely not coming out at all. It usually only happens at night. They usually do something to the water during the day to make it work during the day. I guess they do that so when the city inspector comes by, which will always only be during the day, it will usually work. But today it actually failed during the day too.

I am so sick of this place and anyone even thinking of living here should think about other options.

In the office when you apply to live here, they have a video playing. Showing beautifully conditioned apartments with light colored wood floors. They like to say that many famous people stayed here in the first part of the 20th century but there are no photos on the internet or otherwise to substantiate these claims, so it's BS but whatever. I don't care who farted in these rooms 100 years ago. When I was first shown my unit, the first thing I noticed was the dark brown colored floor. This is your FIRST indication that you are about to move into a place with roach problems. Places like this do that to make it hard to see the roaches crossing the floor on patrol. I have had a bug problem and I have had the place fumigated to no avail. Every night, I can only take a bath bacause the hot water pressure is so bad that you cant shower with it. Then the sticky drain plug control, you have to fight with to get it to close. Then the water comes out intermittently. sometimes at the rate of tricling, sometimes it stops completely. Takes about an hour to get any volume of water in the tub at all. I complained about all of this for the last year and they have done nothing about it. The maintenence man came up and he fought with the drain control for a few minute before he could make it work and when he eventually makes it close, he says: see? it works. un-effing-believeable! Regarding the water pressure, they say: well, it;s an old building. I told them, well, the health department doesn't think that matters and neigther do i.

Then the floors. The floor was previously damaged or just old. I started getting splinters in my feet. I complained to Pasqual, who represents the ownership of the building. He said, the floor was fine when you got the unit, so tough shit. All they did was put the brown paint over the floor going bad before. Then when the paint from the wrongly repaired floors comes off, it's my fault. I had to call the City of Los Angeles Inspectors office down here who agreed with me and forced them to repair the floor. How did they repair the floor? Wood Filler and paint. UN-ACCEPTIBLE. Then they told me that I can no longer sit on the repair area which is right in front of the cooking area and I need to sit to prepare my meals because I am severely handicapped. Besides, this unit it the size of a large jail cell. And they telling me where i can or can't sit? BS! I can tell that i will be having the contact the Inspectors office over and over in the future because they don't ever just do the right thing and fix something at all if not fixing it improperly. You would have to be CRAZY to want to live in a shithole like the Alexandria Hotel Apartments
