Kode Magazine was interested in using my merchandise, both my accessories and garments. The loan request was last minute and to get the merchandise shipped out in time I had to send without a contract . I was in contact with the editors assistant Brandon Logan via Google Voice ( cheap and free?). Brandon indicated that I should still proceed to send the contract over and that the return would go without a hitch. 2 weeks went by and after numerous emails checking in on the status of the signed contract I was still left with the document unsigned.
Then I finally received my merchandise, with two garments missing and valued at 200$ and they were listed in the contract. So now I have an unsigned contract and missing garments, any sane person could understand my frustration at this point. Brandon was confused and had believed that the all pieces were account for; he responded with" I'll look into this and get back to you"
a month passed, and I inquire again only to find out that the assistant I have been in conversation with no longer works for the Magazine. So now I have an unsigned contract, missing garments and the original point of contact is no longer working for Allan.
I reached out to Allan who claims to have no recollection of the contract or the missing items.. and I am then passed of to his new assistant Alyx Where I am asked to send an invoice. I am further ignored and finally reach out on the personal Instagram of Allan @allantroy_
I resent the contract with the missing garments that included the original time stamp and issued a PayPal invoice, but due to their funds being tied up in their Issue and realease party I am forced to wait even longer. Will it slip the the cracks again when passed along to their business manager? 400$ isn't a lot of money for an established magazine.
The editor may have blocked me from his Instagram and ignored the numerous emails. but now, anytime someone wants to do some research on him they have a little bit more info.
