Ambria College of Nursing Reviews

  • Oct 16, 2014

Ambria College of Nursing is disorganized overpriced private nursing school that only concerned with their profit and high passing rate. They give no legal documentations or contract to avoid any legal responsibilities and obligations towards students. School does not commit to advertised statements and verbal promises given during initial orientation. Great selling performance, empty deceiving statements. Nursing classes based on self study, some instructors are aggressive and discriminating towards students of their dislike. The faculty does not address conflict situations to assure students learning progress. Inconsistent schedule, poor teaching performance in RN nursing classes. Students are not allowed to use calculators, advanced nursing skills avoided at clinical sites and replaced by basic patient care. Credits are non transferrable, cannot be used towards BSN in other schools. Additional service fee $600 is charged every semester even for a full time students, mandatory 100% attendance required, any missed class results in meeting with Dean, doctors note required for any missed day even in prerequisite classes. The Nutrition class must be taken in school, will not be transferred from any prior school, 2 credit hours with home work assessment load and outside of classroom work equals more the 5 credit hours. The Nutrition instructor requires report from the student prior bathroom break, very disrespectful and rude to students. Students must dance Gangnam style dance at the mandatory nutrition health fair in public. The instructor is a professor, who believes that Philipino people should speak at least some spanish and is not able to spell correctly some basic english words. Demands from the school towards students don't match education and services provided to students. Any complaints are disregarded. Students must have high tolerance towards nonsense requirements, rules, practicing of authority, and demands to avoid threat of failing classes and the program. It is a private school that does what ever they feel like doing and all students can- leave and loose all the money, time and effort they invested, or suck it up for 18 month and feel trapped and ripoffed.
