This company emailed me from "[email protected]" regarding entry level positions with DFW airport and Love Field airport.

They stated in the automated message that they charge $39.00 in fees for airline development program package?!

The US Postal Service won't allow scammers and head hunters to go around charging potential candidates for USPS test book! They've threatened to prosecute for this unethical business practice.

Why would you want to charge a poor unemployed person a $39.00 fee when they evidently need a job!?!? What is wrong with you people who attempt to turn a profit from someone who is obviously broke!

This is beyond ridiculous!

I'll be contacting hiring managers at both airlines here in Texas and inform them about this email and forward it to them.

Thank you and good day!

What does the $39.00 fee get you?

You get INFORMATION that is FREE on the internet!

People are lead to believe American Careers is a staffing agency/hiring body for different airlines and airports. THEY ARE NOT! They have no pull or affiliation with anybody! If you want an airline job, you apply with the airline directly! You pay these fools money and they send you information that you could have googled for free! Is it any wonder these people have an F rating with the BBB? I just checked and there is also an alert on this organization. The BBB says this company is falsely using the BBB logo, in order to make potential suckers, I mean clients, think they are accredited. THEY ARE NOT!

Take your $39 and buy some gas to get to your interviews, after you apply through normal channels. Or buy a new pair of pants to wear to an interview. Don't give it to these people!

Yvonne, who is going to hire you when American Careers is shut down?

Yvonne, your name is all over the internet and not in a good way! You must not think ahead to the future, how you will earn an income when no one will hire you! Nowadays, hiring managers and HR staff do a background check and anyone who can read is NOT going to hire you! I hope you have accumulated a large bank account from all those $35 money orders people foolishly sent because you are going to need some money to live on!

This company is a major Rip-Off!!! And I'm not sure why different employment websites like Indeed are supporting them. I first ran into the ad for employment for a Flight attendant and getting started for a new career. I then continued to read the ad then stated to call this 1-800 phone number which i can't find anymore online. I called the phone number it was a voice recording from this lady maybe its this Yvone Foxworth that i see on all the paper work online. So the recording stated to send in a money order for $39.00 and to put your full name, address, and the Position you were interested in for airline employment. It said to send it in as soon as possible because it was based on a first come first save basis. I imediatly sent the information in specifically like they asked. The Voicemail message was very detailed on what to do. I then received this email about 2 weeks later with links to other emloyment websites. It WAS NO HELP AT ALL!!!! None of the links were a help all the jobs were out of date or did not even exist. I felt like a complete idiot and i wasted $39.00 i felt like i just threw it away. Also the jobs with the links none were in the state i live in and i actually found out that Delta Airlines was hiring in my area through their website. But this position WAS NEVER POSTED ON ANY OF THE LINKS SENT BY AMERICAN CAREERS. I have not been able to get in touch with anyone for help like they stated and have not received a return email from this Yvone Foxworth!!!!! I'm DISGUSTED THEY NEED TO STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!! I've seen other complaints about this company and they are still RIPPING PEOPLE OFF THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!!

Wow

American Careers doesn't tell anyone to do anything, they charge for their services. There is nothing to fall for. You listen to a voicemail and visit a website. You don't speak with anyone. American Careers operates out of Baltimore. Maybe you are lying about this company.

They said that they will help to find a job. So right now I want my freaking money back. I send a money order of $39.00 for nothing.

American Careers LLC is There To Help Those Who Want To Be Helped

With all due respect mam, I have a different view. Your son probably found a job offering on a job site just as I did. We were given a phone number to call and then were told to visit www.americancareers.us. I too worked with Yvonne Foxworth. She is a wonderful lady and had many helpful hints during my job search. I worked with a variety of the counselors at American Careers...because if Yvonne wasn't there someone else would help me. Ms. Foxworth told me that the $39 was nothing more that a processing fee, if I was unable to obtain employment that I would be refunded my money. You know, American Careers LLC doesn't like for their customers to fail. This is the reason for their high standards. As far as scraping up the money, I am sorry that you did that without your son understanding that it takes effort and ambition to get a job in the airline industry or in any field for that matter. I am not sure of what kind of job that your son was looking for, but jobs such as a ramp agent, baggage handler, fueling, even customer service start at enrty level. We all know that in order to be a mechanic or a computer programmer that you have to have some sort of higher education. Yes, I think Ms. Foxworth wanted for your son to succeed in obtaining employment. I asked about the refundpolicy as well, I did this before I purchased the package and help of course. As a mother who had scraped up $39 from my disibility check I would have said "Son, you need to call Ms. Foxworth and allow her to help you". "Son, we don't have money to waste and I want for you to have ambition and goals in this life, son reach for the stars", "Son, put forth the effort because we spent hard earned money on this, and you said that you wanted to work for the airlines. " "Son, what is the worst that could happen? We get our money back?". I can tell you that I asked Ms. Foxworth how many people actully failed at getting a job with the help of American Careers, she told me that it wasn't very many because the people at her company didn't like to fail. I like that answer, I asked her if they gave up on an applicant after just one interview and a failure to get a job, she said no way, then I would be a failure. Bottom line is, you can complain about losing $39, but from where I stand you should be saying why sin't my son willing to put forth the effort that it takes to get a job. In this life nothing is handed to us and we can't "buy" a job. I am sure that if your son called Ms. Foxworth she would be more than willing to assist him. You promised Ms. Foxworth that you would get your $ back, have your son go on 10 interviews and flop them all. Good Luck and God Bless.

My son who is 18 found a website online named American Careers LLC. He applied with this woman named Yvonne Foxworth and was assured that he would be able to get a job in the airline industry and they had many openings for people with no experience. All you had to do was to send them $39 money order and that gave you access to their website and job application. Well we scraped up the money and sent it. I am on disability and dont have $39 just laying around. Well he got the application and found out that most of the jobs needed some experience of some kind and he could not do the job. I emailed this woman and told her about his dilemma not finding a job and that I wanted my $39 back and she emails me and says that in order to get my money back that he has to send them 10 denial letters from 10 different airlines that he did not get a job. Who on earth is going to do that. I told her I wanted my money and then she leaves me her number for him to call so she can help him with his job prospects. He doesnt want to do that anymore and she still refuses to give me my money back. I told her that I was submitting her company to ripoff report, the attorney general in her state and the better business bureau. So she can deal with them and I told her that I promise you I will get my money back one way or another.
