This is my experience with American Digital Alarm , Kirkland ,WA .
I saw an advert for $5.95 per month monitoring service and ordered the service. I call them and they confirmed they will be able to setup monitoring and told that I would not need anything additional. I already have the security alarm system setup in my house. I just need to activate a service. They checked the model of my equipment and confirmed it works. Now the scam starts. I kept calling their technical support to help activate my alarm services and after 3-4 attempts one guy says , they need to send me an adapter box. They ship me a adapter and charge me $99. I asked them why they charged $99 and they said, it will be refunded when I return the equipment. Now I again try to get my alarm working and i spend hours with the tech and they cant get it working. I try to get it working and I dont have the time and energy to spend hours with their tech support. So till now my service is not activate. I said, I had enough and asked them to cancel . Now they say I cant cancel because I am already past 1 month. And they charged $19.95 and continued charging my credit card. I cant stop them. So I disputed the charges with my CC . They charged for 2 months of service $19.95+$19.95 . My cc company refunded that amount , but for the $99 equipment free,they wanted me to return the equipment. Now I return the euipment and requested for a $99 refurnd, now they say that they cant refund because my account was cancelled. What a scam . Keep away from this scamsters.
