I went to American Laser Skincare for FREE consultation on May 29, 2013. The free consultation consist of demonstrating how the zerona would work, the special diet that I need be on in order for the treatment to be effective and my payment options. I have decided to accept the loan from Fortiva.

This procedure would take 12 sessions, so I was scheduled to start on September 3, 2013. However, I cancelled the whole procedure on June 28, 2013, but Fortiva went ahead and paid American Laser Skincare the $1350. Now American Skincare

refuse to return the money, The account is Fortiva collection's department and reporting late on my credit.

American Laser Skincare charged me in advance for shape-adominal/velashape treatment and skin pill treatments that were not used. They closed their doors, aware that the company filed bankruptcy. The company owes me $933.00 for treatments that were never performed, due to their shutting the doors without any notification to me, the consumer.

I had purchased a full leg hair removal pkg from American Laser Skincare and have used only 4 of the 10 appnts. Today I was to have an appnt, realized I had never received a confirmation phone call, called the office only to find out it was closed. During 2 of the 4 previous appnts I was burnt leaving scars. I also had purchased a FotoFacial package being told that it would help remove the broken veins in my face and fade sunspots of which it did neither. I need to know what options I have, if any, to get back the $3000 I have paid to ALS for services I have not been able to use.

This place has always seemed unprofessional and shady and I was happy to never return as soon as my package was used, but I never expected them to file bankruptcy and take everyones' money and run. I was completely shocked that such a thing had happened and even more so that a company should be able to get away with such a thing. Please advise if there are any options at all that I have to try to get my money back. If I call any of the numbers I have found for ALS, they all give a busy signal and hang up on you. Their website says they are working towards a solution, but I was never even notified of their closing.

I entered a contest and "won" $300 certificate. When I went to my consultation the prize was a coupon off of a bigger package. I decided it was a great deal and bought the Vellashape ($1700) and Peel and Reveal($700) which included a take home facial cleansing system. I was told that the Vella treatments would feel like a deep tissue massage and were enjoyable. I was also told that results varied but could be 1 cm to 1 inch circumference decrease per treatment. I had the first treatment and was surprised that it was painful but wanted to keep trying. The next visit (1 week later) was worse.

The third treatment I still had no change and the technician said to give it time. I went to the 4th session having doubts because I had NO CHANGES and I started asking if any had ever not had any results and was told that everyone gets something. I kept going because the techs kept telling me that it took time. I had my 5th session and it was horrible, the tech was pressing so hard with the machine I had large bruises that were the size of soft balls on my sides, Pinches marks from the machine, and I was burned. I did not want to return but I did. The last treatment was done by the same tech that had caused so much damage to my body I almost cried during the treatment and that was the final straw I was not returning after this if I did not have a result. This was the 9th treatment.

I waited a week to see if anything would happen, IT DID NOT. I called to talk to the manager and explained everything. She asked why I was going to stop my face treatments as well. I have battled with acne as an adult and was told that the treatments would improve the breakouts, THAT DID NOT HAPPEN EITHER. My acne got worse, I looked like a 15 year old boy going through puberty. She said that she could refund some of the money for the treatments I did not use which would have totaled $1355. I agreed to this and was going to fight for some of the rest. The manager told me to give her the account number for the care credit which I did not have available so I had to call her back.

4 days later I reached her to give her the account number, she then said she needed to look at my file again and to call back later. I talked to her the next day and that was when she said I would only POSSIBLY get $625 because I had received other services. These areas of treatment were never done on me nor did I sign up to get them. She then said that she could only request a refund to her district manager and that she was sorry because they never approve refunds. I would not be getting anything back, even though I did not receive the treatments.

She also said that I had complained about the treatments so the techs did it softer than recommended for effectiveness, which I replied that they should have then told me that I would not be a good candidate for this and discontinue the treatments. She even asked why I waited so long to cancel...I was told it took time, DUH!

It has now been 5 days and I have gotten nothing from them. I called the main office to talk with customer support and requested a full copy of all of my records including the "contract" I may have signed. I was never told I was signing a contract but papers for the services and they included things such as medical issues and what to do to prep for treatment. This was a medical office, I thought, and I have never signed a contract with a doctor. Just the medical paper work.

This company is not respectful and has dirty business sales tactics. The sales person who did my consultation did not even look at the treatment areas before saying it would work. This should have been my first clue. I am a fairly fit woman at 5' 8" and 140 lbs. I just have a baby pouch from my two children. I would not have even fought this hard if I would have at least gotten my money back at minimum for what I did not use and I was willing to pay up to 20% for the services that I did use but did not benefit from. Now I am being charged for items fraudulently.

Some people may have a good experience there and that is great for them, but what about those like me that get totally taken advantage of and then robbed.

This company should be shut down or forced to change the way they do business.
