I had an issue with the IRS that was my own fault. I didn't file for two years and it caught up with me. I had thought because I had taken losses for those years I could wait and file latter. The IRS wanted over $400k from me for stock sales which were all at a loss but since I hadn't filed they didn't know I didn't profit from the sales. I know better now but unfortunately only after being ripped off by Joe Benfatti and American Tax Relief.
When Joe Benfatti answered the phone he expressed concern and urgency. It was all a ruse in order to get me to give him two credit card instalments totaling $7000. He asssured me that American Tax Relief was the best at these sort of cases and I had nothing to worry about. Before Joe Benfatti took my money for services he had no intention of providing I had just gotten my credit cards paid of, my credit was growing and things were going ok other than the tax problem. Now, because of American Tax Relief and Joe Benfatti, I am still trying to claw my way out of the hole they put me in. My credit is ruined and I am on the verge of losing my house. I have a wife and four kids, we may be on the street. These people do not care about the lives they ruin, only the money they get. They, ATR and Joe Benfatti, never did a single thing on my taxes. They lied to me every time I called them. They lied and said they never received my faxes, any of them.
The amazing thing about it is the issue was an easy fix. My mom, who knows nothing about taxes, worked on my taxes since Joe Benfatti and ATR were not going to do a thing. She got my problem fixed and instead of me being in debt to the IRS for over $400,000 they owed me money. They obviously never even looked at my case or they would've easily been able to help and earn the $7000 Joe Benfatti stole from me. DO NOT USE AMERICAN TAX RELIEF and if you hear the name JOE BENFATTI involved with a business you are considering using DO NOT, HE IS A CROOK!
