This crooked company lures in its potential catches with a "$500 deposit to begin the purchase of your home." Many Louisianaians were warned about shady contractors in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, so I waited for at least two years before settling upon a contractor.
As I hoped to begin constrcution immediately, I sought out this company after reading their ad on the internet. Although I was told about the $500 special, I was pressured "in my best interest" to make a sizable down payment to lower my monthly costs, so I ponied up $40,000 to look at pretty pictures.
All was for naught after the promises of "guaranteed construction loans" were denied, but I was told I could look on my own. What I did instead was look on Rip-off Report and saw this company had an unsavory history of shoddy work and dissatisfied customers. Long story short, after several attempts to meet someone at my Louisiana property, I desired to pull my project from them until I could research further what they offered.
A reimbursement was done but the compnay retained 10% of my down payment or $4000 for walking across my property and attaching a sign to a tree on a forty-five minute visit. I had hoped that their common sense would prevail before I took this to a litigious level, and their "arbitration" was an one-sided affair for which I had zero input.
Avoid this company at all costs as they prey upon the elderly and single-income families in their offers of false-hope home ownership!!
