If it was possible I would give these folks a zero. They came to our home and picke up a /Polaris 400 with a good motor but suspension problems,/ 325 Polaris 4 wheel drive with good suspension and the 4 wheel drive worked but bad motor /Polaris Trail Boss that motor was running when they picked it but transmission stopped working / Yamaha 100 that the motor was running in and transmission worked / Yamaha TTR 90 dirt bike that ran perfect just needed a new chain which we saw on Craigslist for 1000.00 as soon as they took the stuff home, We gave them all of these in exchange for a full makeover on a Honda 350 Rancher ES .It was in rough shape but they saw it and were told to do all repairs needed to have a dependable well running 4 wheeler for our son.
They saw all the bikes we were trading and the one we wanted repaired and accepted the deal. They left with all the bikes. THEY kept our sons 4 wheeler over 5 month when they picked it up they said it would be ready in 4 to 6 weeks. They had it over 5 months and made excuse after excuse. We called on Feb 9th asking for an update and explained our sons Aspergers We got nowhere with the after numerous text and calls until we called the owners of Busco Beach late April where Anarchy Power Sports or Liz and Todd Lyles rent a building from. The owner after stating he had lots of complaints on them made a call and finally they got to work but still took 2 more weeks.
Promised us May 30th since having before Feb 8th. After many threats of a law suite then we finally got it on June 9th. We were told they had all the parts and Todd had tires at home and was going to get them and bring to the shop. This never happened. We ended up paying 250.00 for our own tires to get the bike back before our sons birthday trip to Hatfield & McCoy trails July 11th. When we arrived with the tires to their shop at Busco beach so they could put them on to get the bike as soon as possible. The plastics were used and faded but we were ok with that although a little disappointed.
We were told to run out 3 tanks of gas too break the motor in at medium throttle and we did exactly that. Got home and we have a 10th of a mile path and our son who by the way has Aspergers drove less than 30 minutes and the electric start went out. Then is when we noticed no cover was over the battery and solenoid. 2 weeks later just riding on a smooth 10th of a mile path an hour or so a day and around a 2 mile block 3 times the front brakes stop working because wheel cylinders froze up. Front left wheel baring was completely gone and right front wheel bearing was worn almost as bad. Upper control ball joint was almost falling out.
One of the starter screws was stripped out and the other starter screw was sticking out about an inch was too long and just left that way. After we noticed all this my husband had to buy the parts and replace them so we could come on his birthday trip. Of course getting ready for this trip my husband changed the oil and in less than a month it was as black as diesel oil which indicates they rebuilt the top end of the motor and not the bottom. Upon closer inspection the rear wheel bearings are also worn out. It is also leaking oil around the shifter in the transmission. They were supposed to replace the electric shifter and it is stuck in 5th gear and will not move.
All this in less than a month. We feel they put a band aid on the 4 wheeler shined it up and sent us on our merry way knowing it was going to fall all to pieces in a very short time. We do not want to take it back to them because they kept it over 5 months and did almost nothing we ask for. After riding 5 miles on the easiest trails the starter came completely out of the motor spilling oil everywhere and my husband had to tow him back after they managed to get it in 5th gear so it would move. We were supposed to be here Sunday to Thursday and I have a sons heart who is broke and is sooooooo upset because he has Asperger's An entire vacation ruined by some very sorry work and a long time to do nothing. We plan to sue and also report them to 5 on your side. No one should be allowed to operate a business and rip people off like this and especially when a child who has dreamed of this trip for monthsr or anyone for that matter. We have text and receipts and phone records to back a lot of this up. Any help you can give would be appreciated.
