Anytime Towing Reviews

I dealt with this company in Mobile, Alabama. I was staying at "The Edge" apartments for two days. You are required to have a valid parking pass to park there. I had a valid parking pass on my dash. I drive a larger F250 which is new and was parked legally at this apartment complex. Luckily I walked outside at the perfect time to see this unmarked truck attempting to tow my vehicle. They claim they couldn't see my pass, which was located on the passenger side dash. After aruging they said make sure we see the pass plain sight (which it was) abd they sped off. According to Alabama law a vehicle cannot be towed from a parking lot without the owner or approved agent of the property is there in person and signs the paperwork. Thats one law broken. They claim they have a general authroization to tow vehicles. Which in Alabama a general authorization only allows a vehicle to be towed without the property owner present if the vehicle is parked next to a fire hydrant. The tow truck also did not have any signage or flashing lights which is required by law. After contacting the owner I was accused of hiding my parking permit and if the vehicle is towed with a pass that is even visible that they claim they cannot see they claim they can still tow the vehicle and the vehicle owner is responsible. This company tows vehicles on a daily basis from this parking lot and I believe they are doing so to fraudently obtain tow fees while breaking the law. This company needs to be investigated and stopped. They seem to not like to be watched and speed off if you stand watch.

If you ever have to deal with a tow company please know the laws. They like to take advatage of the situation. The Edge apartments are mostly occupied with students which seem to be easy prey for this company.
