Arshad Latif is crimnal , scammer and previously charged with fraud. He is out there going through multiple charges of frauds and anyone with any information is encourged to come forward and report to police without any fear.

A man accused of defrauding three York Region residents to the tune of $1 million has been charged by police.

Between March 2006 and May 2007, a man in the import/export business convinced a Markham doctor to sign up investors for a plan to ship products to Pakistan for large profits.

Investors were told the product could be purchased in Canada for $80 per unit and sold in Pakistan for $95 per unit.

According to police, the actual cost of the product was $1.32 per unit.

Arshad Latif, 51, of Brampton, is charged with fraud over $5,000.

He was released and is to appear in Newmarket court Jan. 31.

Police are continuing their investigation and seeking other victims.

A 52-year-old Mississauga man is facing multiple fraud charges after a bogus business promised customers scrap metal that was never delivered.

The man is alleged to have defrauded at least three people out of more than $1 million, according to Cst. Marlene Murphy.

Police said a man was running a phony scrap metal business that he advertised to various customers. However, they never received their product, despite putting money down.

Peel Regional Police allege the business was in operation since late 2007, but was shut down earlier this year.

Facing five charges of fraud over $5,000 is Arshad Latif. He is out on bail and will be appearing in Brampton court later this month.
