B Dry Waterproofing Reviews

  • May 9, 2014

B Dry and pretty much all inside system companies use False claims, misrepresent homeowners actual-problems (where & why they leak) obscure material facts in order to seduce homeowners into an inside water-diverting system.

They attach, cover part or most of the inside basement wall with vinyl paneling and the like which does NOTHING in regards to stopping water from entering anyones basement.Again, some will cover the lower part of wall, some will cover 1/2 or all of the inside wall.

This paneling they put against the basement wall conceals the true CONDITION of the basement wall,it hides cracks or cracks that can occur or exisitng cracks (defects) that can widen,it`ll hide mold on basement wall or likely-future mold or efflorescence,it`ll hide a bowed wall or a wall that may begin to bow inward and when they only attach it to lower blocks it`ll hide possible DETERIORATING blocks.

They actually claim that, the outside of homeowners basement walls shouldn`t be sealed, that it was done when the house was built and it didn`t work then and won`t work now. http://www.bdry.com/faq.php#9 This is absolutely FALSE,it`s misrepresenting what was done when house was built (parging, damproofing on newer homes,NOT waterproofing!)

Folks, the exterior of your basement walls were only parged when built and were backfilled with the same excavated soil mixed with pieces of concrete, blocks, bricks, roots, wood etc, that is NOT waterproofing!! Newer homes are usually damproofed and still most often backfilled with same excavated soil, damproofing is NOT waterproofing!!

How important is backfilling with most-all gravel? VERY. See 6th paragraph (((link redacted)))

Fairfax County VA,what do they say for damaged, cracked, bowed walls and marine clay and waterproofing the exterior wall VERSUS B Dry and other inside co`s? http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/DPWES/publications/marineclay.htm scroll down to, Basement Wall DAMAGE. See Cause, see Resolution.... in part, to PREVENT future damage, the clay MUST be REMOVED and replaced with sandy or gravelly soils.....exterior side of the wall should be WATERPROOFED....

Well, B Dry does not 'do' exterior excavation, doesn`t seal exterior walls, doesn`t hand dig outside and remove clay-expansive soil off wall, they apparently think it`s A OK to leave that swelling-shrinking soil against wall and leave exterior cracks OPEN,truly incompetent! Here again, they state they do NOT excavate outside and that it is UNNECESSARY!!! http://www.bdry.com/faq.php#7

http://www.bdry.com/faq.php#13 And here they bring up other inside companies drilling holes in block walls for Interior Baseboard Systems and state tha method(Baseboard), isn`t waterproofing and say that an Ohio court recently declared that it`s a ""false claim"" to call this method waterproofing and awarded compensation to homeowner.

Fact is,what B Dry installs and that Baseboard system are NEITHER 'Waterproofing', both are water control systems. B Dry, you have your own FALSE CLAIMS that i hope all Attorney General Office`s look VERY closely at.

Photos are just a tiny look at what B Dry and other Inside System Co`s leave OPEN on the outside of homeowners basement walls (((link redacted)))
