Bank of America Corporation Reviews

I have been transferring money back and forth between my checking and savings for over 4 years. Just recently the bank froze my account from any withdrawals because they realized (and I had forgotten) that the original account was opened as a Coogan account. When the savings accounts showed up on my online banking account I for some reason thought that they were converted to savings accounts. Well the last deposits I made were in total of $10K. Only about $15 dollars was deposited in my daughters name from one acting gig. Is there anything I can do to withdraw the money that is rightfully mine because I had been transferring in and out several thousands of dollars at a time and now all of a sudden Bank of America put a stop to it.

We bought a home in Katy Texas and almost all homes in that area are to be considered Jumbo loans. Well, they convinced us that we would be covered for the period of the loan with this Borrower's Protection Plan. We didn't have a real estate agent by outside since this was a owner to owner sale. We didn't read the fine print and it states " that the loan will terminate at the end of the loan or 120 months from the time of the signing of the contract, which ever comes first" ... Well, they new from the start it was a 25 year loan and it was way over our heads. We paid them the 120 months payment and still paying the loan,... yet we no longer have coverage and what I read no one really does. I agree with all the homeowners ... Bank of America scammed all of us and they knew they would never pay out anyone... so they continued selling it to the new homeowners. I want to be part of a civil suit. They took the money and ran,.... and I have to tell you that never do business transactions with out professionals... I wish we had had a real estate agent.

Wall Lake Credit Bureau LLC is a collection agency fronting as Bank of Americas' vendor for the purpose of obtaining information to do the Bank of America Loan Modifications for borrowers.

Any information you provide to Wall Lake is being collected not only for a possible Loan Modification but also to collect any possible deficiency balances from you in the future.

BofA and Wall Lake have been sued numerous times for their actions and they have settled most of these lawsuits including:

Magness v. Walled Lake Credit Bureau, et al., Case No. 12-cv-06586-LDD

http://www.gardencitygroup.com/cases-info/WLC/ BofA and Wall Lake paid out $550,000 to Pennsylvanis homeowners in this settlement.

http://bankofamerica.mortgagesettlementmonitor.com/ this is a billion dollar class action settlement against Bank of America by the US Justice Department regarding real estate loans. What is amazing is that BofA misused billions of dollars of federal bailout money and not one Bank of America or Wall Lake employee went to prison.

Do not send your personal information to Bank of America regarding loan modifications. You are actually sending your social security number, address, bank statements etc.; to BofAs collection agency. BofA does not intend to complete the loan modifications, they are collecting your personal information to scare and intimidate you into making payments and to collect against you in the future.

Contact a law firm that has sued BofA and Wall Lake in the past and report their claim against you. (Google BofA and Wall Lake Credit Bureau, LLC) You can get a referral to a law firm that is compiling a class action suit against BofA and Wall Lake in your state.

I have been with Bank of America for appox. 14 years, I began with both a cheching and saving acct. I now have two checking acct. in which I being charged for the 2nd one.

I was told that I was making to many transfers from one acct. to the other and therefore they had to make my savings acct. into a checking acct. in which is I really don't have and do not need checks for.

The problem is that if a person has direct deposit with X amount of dollars, there is no fee, However I am now being charged every month for the 2nd acct.

I think this a rip off, As I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income and feel as though I am being penalized for being low income.

When my May credit card bill arrived there was an interest charge of $28.25 that should not have been there. I called right away and talked to John who said it was a mistake. He said he issued a credit for that amount and that I could deduct it from my payment. He also said he would correct the error so we would not get another interest charge when the balance is paid in full - which it was for years.

Today I called to apply my rewards to my current balance. After 45 minutes on the phone with Donna and then Haley I was told that even though the interest charge was reversed and I had redeemed rewards for a $405.13 statement credit I still have to pay the full amount of my current statement in order to avoid still more interest charges. So apparently they get to keep the $28.25 and the $405.13 instead of deducting that total from my balance due.

Haley was rude; she kept saying she understood my concern, but obviously she didn't. She lied about the length of the phone call even though there is a timer on my phone and I could see how long the call had lasted. She insisted that the full amount must be paid. So my only recourse is to stop dealing with that bank. They must prefer customers who do not pay their bill so they can earn huge interest amounts from them. HALEY is the reason we are leaving BOA. Her customer service skills are non-existant - she was rude, incomptent, and lied.

My fiance' contracted to purchased a home that was REO by Bank of America corporate. He won a bid through Hudson and Marshall at a property auction. The home has about $6,000 worth of repairs needed that includes a section of drywall (1 X 10) missing from an earlier roof leak (roof is repaired). BEFORE he bid on the property, he spoke to his regular credit union and they said they would not lend on a property needing any repairs, period. He actually called Bank of America and was connected with the asset manager for this property. She said she had been in real estate for years and had never heard of a lender not lending on a property because it needed repairs. She pointed out, "you can tear the walls down the day you close on a property, if it is not exposed to the elements why would the lender care". He went to Bank of America and got prequalified for the mortgage reassured this would be an easy transaction (putting 20% or $42K down). The auction required $2,500 earnest money. He has spent money for an appraisal $425, survey $375, credit check $35 etc. to have the appraiser say that the missing drywall, an inspection for mold on where the roof used to leak, and staples on the stair treads where the carpet used to be creates a safety hazard and must be remedied before funding. Bank of America Mortgage lending refuses to allow him to escrow the money to make repairs AFTER closing, Bank of America REO refuses to make repairs and increase the contract amount to cover the expense or to allow him access to the property PRIOR to closing to have repairs made for funding. They have intentionally made it impossible to fulfill terms of the purchase contract and apparently neither department talks to each other enough to work out a reasonable solution. He has even offered to escrow 2 times the amount of the appraisers estimated repair cost and make repairs within 30 days of closing. They have terrible customer service and terrible policies. I recommend staying far away from this company.

About two months ago, the normal online transactions that I had been making for several months started to get delayed. A week to ten days would go by and then suddenly the charge would occurs. Several times causing me a severe inconvenience and overdraft fees. I went into my local branch a week ago when I had finally gotten tired of the fees and lies from this company. I made a deposit to make the account to zero and closed it out with the personal banker. Now a week later I get and email about an overdrawn transaction. I am just livid and call the company. They inform me that the account was not closed and I have to pay these new fees and charges to make the account positive. When I told her that the account has been closed for a week she got this condescending tone as if I should have know that and told me that I should have canceled my pending transactions. Lady... How the hell am I to know if I have any pending transactions if you guys don't even know when I had closed my account? These guys are a bunch of fakes and scanners. They will lie to your face just so they can nickle and dime you for everything that you have... Go to a different bank and save yourself a lot of headache.

I recently received notice from the IRS that I have an unreported income of $90,000.00 in 2012. I was baffled as along side the new calculations done by the IRS is my unemployment income for that same time period. I contacted that IRS and they informed me that BANK OF AMERICA sent them a copy of a 1099A and 1099C reporting that. I am confused...I never received any money from BANK OF AMERICA.

Finally after days of digging... as no information from BANK OF AMERICA was presented or mailed to me. I contacted their department in Greensboro and was told the above information. Let me tell you the truth about what these people did. During 2008 / 2009 I owned a construction company which was quickly failing and in my attempt to save it I got behind on my home mortgage. I applied for the "SAVE YOUR HOME" program through BANK OF AMERICA and was finally accepted.

I received my acceptance letter and notice that I would be getting a 3 month payment schedule and need to make those payments on time. [MIND YOU I WAS ONLY 3 MONTHS IN ARREARS ON MY MORTGAGE] The letter never came....the next week I received a notice from the Sheriff's Department on a foreclosure. I called BANK OF AMERICA and they assured me that it was normal and my home would not be sold. Before that deadline within 5 days my home was sold at auction and we were forced out into the street with my children that was 2010. I was informed that it was an oversight and the attorney in charge of my file did not file the appropriate documents in time.

I got back on my feet by 2011 and overewhelmed with debt and no home. I filed bankruptcy as I was also forced to close my business and linked to debt there as well. I received no other information from BANK OF AMERICA. All the crap you hear on television about how all these folks who got screwed by this bank were getting help is just that, CRAP! There was no assistance or DEBT FORGIVENESS.

Because BANK OF AMERICA hastely and quickly sold my home for way under the value, the difference as been reported to the IRS as income. They undersold my home for more than 90,000.00 so that was forwarded to the iRS in the form of a 1099 income statement to me. The IRS revised FOR ME, my 2012 tax return and added 90,000.00 to my "unemployment" income thefore generating a taxe liability in excess of $20,000.00. It does not seem fair that BANK OF AMERICA is still allowed to continue the destrution of American lives and 'WRITE IT OFF" as a loss when essentially they are loosing nothing.

So as a result of loosing my home, being forced out into the street, and unmployed I owe the IRS more than $20,000.00 according to their calculations. Can anyone help me with this? Is this the end? Can this still be happening to me?

I had requested a modification from the attorney general in regards to child support. I waited nearly three years and the attorney general said that Bank of America would not release information on salary in regards to Jason Reed. I later found out that Shadonna crane who was the vp of hr for Bank of America who hired Reed was withholding information on income and she later married Reed. She had bragged about holding salary income from the attorney General for her friends.

I wrote Bank of America questioning why salary information was withheld they fired Jason Reed and sent a letter stating that he no longer worked for them. Jason and Shadonna moved to Colorado and I wrote the ethics department of Bank of America. Shadonna crane still works for Bank of America and was demoted to vp of recruiting. I still have not gotten an increase in child support because she held his file and many others trying to get modifications of support.

In 2009 we had our mortgage with Taylor Bean and Whitaker. We refinanced in July and closed on July 31, 2009. Just about 2-3 weeks later, Bank of America started calling us. We had no idea why. Thats when they said that Taylor Bean had been shut down by the feds and they were taking over their loans. We got no warning, no letters no phone calls etc. Both companies said to send them payment, and i wasnt about to do that if one had been closed by the governemnt. So for 4 months we didnt send a payment in. In january of '10 we started paying bank of america.

All they did was contineu to harrass us and tell us we were behind. They never bothered to honor the refi we'd just closed on in July of 09. They even stated that the other place, taylor bean never had gotten a final payment check for the closing of the refi. thats crap!

Around November of '11 i sent in a payment that was $40 short b/c thats all we had. They sent it back uncashed and refused anymore payments. And then, in '12 they tried to foreclose. we have been fighting this since 09 when we first heard about taylor bean and whitaker.

I know Im not the only one who has dealth with this level of bull crap. Hundreds of people were affected not only by taylor bean but also by bank of america. they are crooks and dont do anything but screw people over.

we tried for 3 months to get a modification from bank of america. they finally agreed to a trial payment, and told us to pay 3 of those. which we did. after the first payment was made they sold our loan to Selene finance. again, pure hell. nnothing is fixed. nothing is done. nothing is taken care of. we are still being screwed around and fear losing our house. i was told just yesterday its up to the investers on if a modification raises or lowers a payment. bull s**t!!!!! if it was the investors family member dealing with this? he'd do everything in his power to ensure they kept their home. We have paid the trial payments--we paid 5 or 6 months worth of that amount only to be told we must keep paying the trial payment instead of the regular payment. there's a $200 difference!!!

People who want to make and effort and are trying and instead of help they get the run around. they can't even return a d**n phone call!!!!

Taylor Bean and Whitaker stole from their customers. That in itself? Every single customers home should have been paid for free and clear! I personally have had several health issues come up since the whole mess started. I hate all of them. Makes me sick to death that so many crooks exist and they all desrve much of the same as what they are doing to others.

I have been a loyal customer of bank of america for 45 + years and never had any troubles until this bank got a new manager who has no clue what he is doing. i have called in to complain about this issue since oct 2014 and never got an answer as to when problem was going to be taken care of just excuses.

i then got a letter from this bank and was informed the they were going to close my account and i called to find out why it was being closed ! i could not get an answer out of anyone and i told them why and they said they didn't have to tell me !

i thought that if you have problems with something you file a complaint little did i know you would get screwed by complaining about the rotten service. i have tried many times to get this issue solved but it seems like b of a would rather sweep any comments under the rug and not address them.

this is the only full service bank in this area ( one is 6 blocks away) and we have many people (merchants, customers, students and others who work and live in the area) who need this branch and not have to wait a long time and we have lost tellers because of the new manager.

i am now a new member of wells fargo and will be very happy cause now when this bank goes under i am going to laugh !!!!

During my state's last gubanatorial race, I preferred one candidate over the other and arranged for Bank of America to send a monthly donation to his campaign, drawn from my bank account. After the election was over, my candidate lost, but the recurring payments are still being sent to the candidates campaign office. The office computer and phone have been disconnected and the candidate cannot be reached. I tried to cancel the donations, but Bank of America refuses to do so. Therefore, today, I'm forced to close my present bank account and open another. If you have a Bank of America account do not allow recurring payments or donations through them. They'll rip you off.

I got many calls from this fraud company mentioning good deals about flights I was looking for. They sent me confirmation and tickets for flights I verified with airlines and they were booked for real. After a MONTH the tickets got cancelled and I never got refund. Airline says someone cancelled it and it was fraud and used invalid card and details. They are trying to investigate as well, as they think its a fake travel agency.

I transferred money via bank of America to consultants bank of America account, Now no one is answering calls nor responding to email. I tried requesting Bank to see if they can hold the account and retrieve the money back. I filed police complaint as well. Bank says that they can only REQUEST recipient to transfer back the amount, how can they allow fake accounts to be opened and operate, and how can they now file a case against the fraud and help me getting refund.

Please help!! 2 of my friends paid this fraud person as well in different bank account, Chase bank and Wellfargo, and their tickets are now cancelled and no refund! I am filing a Police case as well - not sure if we can sort this out. One of our friend paid to one of the accounts of this company as well. No updates from anywhere so far. Bank is unable to retrieve transfer that was done to a fraud account of fraud person for fake sale. please HELP!!!

In the Spring of 2012 BAC sold the mortgage on my property to NationStar. Under their contract, BAC should have forwarded my bank's automatic monthly checks to NationStar. BAC didn't do that.

It also failed to notify me of the sale of the loan. I was travelling and did not discover this issue until NationStar filed a report with credit bureau that it was about to foreclose due to four missed payments.

Each person my banker, my son, or I spoke with at B of A (phone 866 466 0979) said this was impossible.....BAC always forwards the payments when it sells a mortgage. Each time we phoned BAC we spoke to a different manager, none of whom were available for a 2nd call. Ditto Nationstar. Each manager we spoke with was terminated before our next conversation.

We provided proof of cancelled checks for each of the months in question to both BAC and Nationstar.

The checks had been deposited by BAC. No response.

To avoid NationStar foreclosure we sent four (4) extra mortgage payments pending BAC finding my funds. NationStar continued to show me delinquent on my mortgage since I had not paid late fees and penalties. It ignored the fact that cancelled checks proved I wasn't late. It refused to change the credit report that showed me in apparent delinquency.

Almost a year into the struggle to locate the missing funds and get either BAC or Nationstar (or both) to fix the damage to my credit report, a young man named Justin phoned me from BAC. He said he'd 'found the missing payments....still at BAC....and that he had to take it up to a higher level supervisor." He said he'd call me back the following Monday. He never called again and I can't find him.

We keep contacting both BAC and Nationstar, but they don't put phone numbers on their letters and don't provide names of people who will still be employed by their firms when we call back. BAC doesn't even put an address on its letters.

It's been two years. It's time to take action against BAC (the culprit) reporting them to the SEC and if necessary taking legal action to get my missing mortgage payments returned, get my credit report cleaned up and have Nationstar acknowledge that my mortgage is over paid by the amount of the extra months payment sent to them in 2013.

Today I received the attached form letter from BAC

BAC made this loan to a Texas resident on a California property.

I apllied for a secured creditt card at Bank of America. I had over $2,000 in my account, but wanted to deposit a $330.00 check to set up the card. Personal Banker(Baldeon) asked for me to withdraw the $300.00 for the card and we completed the application at his desk. He papercliped the money to pice of paper and said he was going to the back to deposit the money and get new applicant folder. when he returned with the folder he said it would be about 7-10 business days and my card would be mailed. Exactly 10 days later my account was hit for $300.00 for collateral. The staement for the account showed only 2 transacctions the $300.00 I withdrew and the $300.00 they withdrew. I went into the branch to dispute it they said give it a few days it would be corrected I have the case ID# never heard from anyone. Days went by, then months so I called and got the runaround to every 1-800 number BofA has. Some Reps would say that it will be credited and it just never happend. I finally escalated it demanding resolvement. I was given another case# and when BofA called this time all they would say was "Sorry" the time limit was up, they just could not go back that far and if I wanted to prososute the person, I would be on my own. Because of this I closed down my account and credit card, then and only then do I get a call from credit fraud dept.(Saddler) she informs me that she can not understand how that can happen and she didn't see any pervious case #'s or reports that I made although I gave her the report #. So I basicsally got called a liar! Sasddler went on to say that there was not anything she could do. so why did you call? Bank of America is a very fraudulent company. They do not stand by their customers and believe they (BofA) never have any fault. They are a crooked company that employes crooks!

Buying a house isn't easy. It's the biggest purchase you make and lenders can make us jump through hoops but the hope is you're doing business with ethical, honest people who act with integrity and everything will work out. To help ensure this was the case for me, I selected a big bank, BANK OF AMERICA to do my mortgage. My realtor recommended a lender who they raved about. So I agreed, and worked with two tenured lenders - STEVE ABELMAN AND SARAH O'CONNOR at Bank of America. Steve quoted me the same rate and discount points throughout the process of obtaining the loan. Never was there a hint he could move my rate, because I was locked in.

That is until...the day of closing and I am sitting with the Title Attorney. The documents at the Title Attorney's office with the understood rate and discount points but then suddenly a call comes in from Bank of America saying they are changing the rate - they increased the mortgage rate substantially. I call this BAIT AND SWITCH and I am suddenly the person that has to agree to whatever terms are being presented or the sellers get my $15k deposit! Really??? Well that is exactly what happened to me. There is no recourse - I got screwd big time! I recommend you NEVER USE STEVE ABELMAN, SARAH O'CONNOR, or BANK OF AMERICA! Everyone in the room at closing then tells me this is what Bank of America does frequently - sells you a rate and then they don't honor it at the closing table. Please act with caution and select another lender if at all possible.

B of A Merchant Services process credit card payments for merchants. The contract fopr services is $134.00 per year plus a percentage. I opted for "No Paper" billing, statements and etc. I recieved a paper mailing from B of A and opened it. The banks letter informed me that I am being automatically enrolled in a security program, with a third party, for 19.95 per month as of February 1st, 2015. They will start deducting the amount from my business account without any response or approval from me and it will be a 12 month contract. The only way to opt out is to call a phone number and get an opt out confirmation number then go to a website and enter the number. Needless to say, when I called the number, I got a foreign based Indian woman that argued with me, threatened that my account could suffer shut downs without this protection and insulted me for not understanding the importance of this. I have "no Paper" agreements for all of my accounts but they use a mailed letter to imform me of a contract they are entering me into with a third party vendor. This must be fraudulent, illegal and thousands of people are goint get screwed by this. How many will never notice.

A year ago I changed my business there for needing to change the name. Recently I have had a lot of charge backs from my customers. Wondering why, I contacted Bank of America and they told me my old business name was still on there! After going to multiple banks to fix this( over a month time lapse here) they told me I should just close out my old account and reopen a new one. I did this and having it cause problems with the IRS and other issues the old business name still was one my new account! I have lost thousands of dollars from customers due to this problem! BOA gave me the charge backs and I sent them the proper documents to get this resolved. Hearing nothing back from them I called back to check on the status and they explained to me nothing could be done now. I had argued back and forth that this was not my fault and something needs to be done. Again no help. I asked them again what the name was stating on peoples bank statements, again was my old name still!!!!!Two weeks have passed going back and forth and still nothing has been resolved. Regarding the charge backs I was told by 3 different people they could be fixed then the last person I called said they could not. Also 3 representatives told me my company name would be changed within 24-48 hours and still nothing has been changed. My customers are still viewing there statements as my old company name and I have to go and explain this to them all so I do not receive more charge backs. This has made my company look really unprofessional and also skeptical to my customers. I finally called again and asked them what the status was on the name change the last rep that I spoke to apologized for the previous reps and said I needed a form to fill out and then my name would be changed! Why have I wasted all this time and energy and the information I had been given by not just 1 rep but by 3 that there was no document that I needed to fill out! Their unprofessional-ism and miscommunication has ruined my hole outlook on BOA. I have recently changed and gone with someone else smaller company but way more professional. BOA has wasted not only my time but my customers time and my money. Really angry with BOA and how they handle things ( which is not at all. ) I can not even fathom how they could not understand a simple task to change the name! 1 year has passed and still not solved and on top of it all instead of changing my name to my new company name they somehow merged my old name with my new name and messed it up even more! How can these people be so incompetent?

Five months ago, I applied for this card. It was being offered through Bank of America. According to the promotion, if I used their card every month and paid off more than the minimum balance every month, I would receive ten dollars in cash bonuses per month, paid quarterly. I transfered a few of my autopay accounts from my Chase VISA and waited to receive my bonus dollars. In September, no bonus had been paid yet, so I contacted Bank of America customer service. They told me that the bonus for the third quarter would be paid some time in October. No bonus was applied in October, so I contacted customer service this morning. After listening to their voice mail for over thirty minutes, I was finally connected to a customer service rep. I was told that since I paid off the balance via online banking as soon as it showed up on my account instead of waiting for the amount to show up on my statement, I was in violation of the terms of the agreement. I pointed out that:

1. I've been a customer of Bank of America for over thirty years, and I also worked for one of their divisions.

2. I'm being penalized for responsibly paying my financial obligations in a prompt manner.

3. I'm being additionally penalized because I lose the reward points that Chase would have given me on those same credit card charges, about $200 in total transactions.

4. The "early payment" penalty was not explained to me when I opened the account, and it was not explained to me when I contacted Bank of America in September.

The customer service rep refused to offer any for of relief, so I asked to speak to her supervisor. After a few minutes, I was connected with someone who would only identify herself as Megan. She said she's as a branch manager in Arkansas. The discussion with Megan was just as unproductive. She did, however screw up at one point. She noted that I've been a cardholder since May 9 and said that if I had been a cardholder for six months, she could offer me a courtesy adjustment. (In other words, I was one week short of qualifying.) I suggested that I call could her back next week so she can offer me the courtesy adjustment, to which she immediately replied, "NOOOOO!!!!!!" I asked her why she would even bring up the courtesy adjustment if she had no intention of making good on it, at which point she started trying to end the conversation. I then asked her for her name and title, as well as asking to speak to her supervisor. She said she had no supervisor and refused to provide her name, saying only that her ID is 1993. I then asked her for contact information for their legal department. She refused to provide it and told me to find it myself -- something that's not very easy when I don't even know if she's an employee of Bank of America, MasterCard or a third-party service bureau.

My wife and I each signed up for this card, and she even encouraged some of her friends to sign up. I've always been treated with courtesy, respect and fairness by the customer service staff at Bank of America, and I'm at a loss to understand why I was treated so rudely and unprofessionally today.

Bank of America closed three of my credit card account without prior notice. They were CashReward, TravelReward and FIA-related credit cards (Fidelity Investment Card).

I tried to buy some items online today but the transactions kept rejecting.

I called BoA representative about what was going on with my accounts and she said my accounts were just closed by analyts from their internal secret unit.

The reason was that BoA analysts got their way to pull out my credit report (without my concent) and found out that my credit utility increased significantly this month (just this month) which was due to the balance transfer I made. "We are not comfortable with this", said she. In the end, my credit card accounts were closed without any prior notice.

Think about this. I used only the BoA credit cards faithfully for more than 6 years, I paid bills on time each month, I paid any incurred fee or interest with no complain, I had no negative record or anything ever before.

But why do they still treat their customer like this? Why did they offer me the credit to use in the first place if they would not be happy of me using it properly. At least, if they called me and discussed with me about the situation, I would try to understand them. But they just did this by their own without caring for our feeling.

I am so dissappointed. I will never forget this.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK!I have been trying for over 1 year to sort out my father's estate. I keep getting the run around from the IRA, CD and Estates depts at B or A. I provide them with every document they ask for to close my parent's accounts and I am still waiting for the money. In fact, I requested that my father's trust account be closed and the funds split evenly between my brother and I as set forth in the text of his trust and the family trust. All documents were sent to the bank multiple times. David Marion, a so-called supervisor with B of A and a complete moron, had the check issued in the name of my father's trust. Now I have a worthless cashier's check drawn on B of A that no bank including B of A will cash. Effectively they have converted an account I couldn't access to into a worthless piece of toilet paper that I can not cash. I have had numerous branches and even a BMO Harris banker call them for a solution and they can't come up with a simple solution for me. I am supposed to try and re-open my father's trust (he is dead and I am not him) then I am supposed to have my brother come to Illinois from Pennsylvania to open a Family trust account at B of A so I can cash their check and distribute the funds then close the account. Apparently my brother is supposed to travel 1000 miles at his expense because they have to see him sign the documents in person. How dysfunctional is that? According to my father's trust and the family trust the money should go directly to us but no one at the bank can read. I am fed up. No one should consider putting their money in this bank or doing any other sort of business with them. The bank sucks and is full of rude, obnoxious, incompetent thieves. My parents must be rolling in their graves knowing that the little bit of money they saved hasn't been given to their children. No wonder B of A is paying exorbitant fines to the gov't. Apparently the bank needs my family's money to satisfy the debt.

My little brother passed away 3/2/14. Since that time were have attempted to discover if there were any funds left in his account and access funds if avaiable. Followed all instructions from BofA including providing (receipt confirmed (Death Certificate and Legal Authorization to access funds. We were then told we would need to contact the EDD for "3rd Party Authorization", attempted to do so for the past several months. Spoke again with BofA who insisted thay had no way to contact EDD and that I should contact my local office (there is none) or send a third letter after the numerous emails to EDD.

Claimant withdrew her only savings--an IRA-- from the Stock Market to keep from losing it in case of a crash, then deposited a portion that was to be her daughter's inheritance in her daughter's Northgate Branch of Bank of America (BOA) in Irving, TX to be kept in trust with a Power of Attorney (POA) attached as security from loss and withdrawals. The Manager of that BOA branch, Joel Posada, was out of the ofice but the Assistant Manager there, believed to be Pam Browning, refused to accept the Power of Attorney needed to protect that account, so Claimant decided to withdraw the money just deposited.

As she was filing for withdrawal, the Assistant Manager, believed to be Pam Browning, walked up and said Claimant could not take the money. Claimant said it was her money and she wanted to withdraw it and deposit in a different bank but again, the Assistant Manager refused to allow her to get it.

Claimant filed a court suit to get it in the JP Court of Dallas County, Pct. 3,Pl. 2, but the Judge of that Court, Steven L. Seider, refused to award her own money to her stating that this particular bank deposit was NOT LISTED IN THE POA. BUT THE POA THAT WAS TO BE ATTACHED TO THAT DEPOSIT STATES IT IS:

1. "TO CONTROL AND PROTECT ANY AND ALL ASSETS BELONGING TO CLAIMANT'S DAUGHTER AND HUSBAND...

2. "TO RESERVE AND PROTECT ANY AND ALL INVESTMENTS IN MONEY MARKETS, CDs OR OTHER TYPE OF INVESTMENTS AND ACCOUNTS INCLUDING BANK OF AMERICA ACCOUNTS UNTIL RETIREMENT AGE OF THE PRINCIPALS...OR FOR OTHER EMERGENCIES MEDICAL OR OTHER NEEDS... AS SET FORTH BY THE GENERAL AGENT AND ATTORNEY-IN-FACT (Claimant)."

It had been signed by Claimant's daughter and husband and notarized by that BOA's Notary. Upon hearing the case, this Dallas County Judge did not even know what the case was about and was either completely corrupt or incompetent refusing to give Claimant her OWN MONEY! Claimant demands that Bank of America return Claimant's deposit of $10,000 to her altho there was over $10,600 first deosited but since she could only sue in JP Court for $10,000, she demands BOA return $10,000 to her completely and immediately since BOA now has to repay the U.S. Govt. $17 Billion!

Bank of America has been suspected of helping hide hundreds of millions of dollars from legendary entertainers and their families in which were left hundreds of millions of dollars from their legendary entertainer’s family member’s legacies. The bank of America was suspected in aiding Brunswick Records, Motown Records, Atlantic Records, Chases Records, and mob ties in music and Chi Lites lead singer Marshall Thompson in what appears to be an effort to defraud legendary entertainers primarily

Legendary black entertainers and their families during what some say was a civil rights area of black and American culture. Hundreds of millions of dollars nearly adding up to a billion dollars are suspected in to have been hiding and have been under investigation by the federal FBI Involving the late legendary entertainer from the Chi Lites in which had been stated to have left over 800,000 dollars that had been kept in bank of America for over 30 years while the family of Creadel Jones were forced to live in and Indore poverty.

The Bank of America felid to contact the children of Creadel Jones the legendary co-founder of the Chi Lites and bear tone singer.

Even after Creadel Jones was said to been left homeless after his record label Brunswick Records refused to send him royalties are his wife whom he married in St. Louis Mo. in which had three of his children Darren and two sisters. His son was stated to have been left over 300,000 dollars from his father Creadel Jones from a trust account in which was opened by his father Creadel Jones and his mother Deborah Jones. There are numerous other Banks that are hiding tens of millions of dollars under the Chi Lites children. The revenue report came from concert performances and royalties as well as out court and in court suits in which were settled.

Despite the over thirty years of singing and co-founding the Chi Lites since 1968 Creadel Jones nor any of his children are his wife and later to be widow never received any revenues from his legendary over 17 records from his iconic legendary music from the Chi Lites. The Chi Lites was stated to have sold nearly a hundred million records and Creadel Jones was stated to never received and revenues. Marshall Thompson was stated to have exploited revenues then attempted to defraud the Chi Lites and their families shortly after Creadel Jones died homeless.

Most of the scandal started after Jackie Wilson had been reported to have been crippled from a clasps that came during a performance at the Latin Casino while Jackie Wilson record company were under investigation for artist defraudment and revenues abuse and exploitation to the Chi Lites and Jackie Wilson, Barbra Acklin, Tyron Davis and other legendary black entertainers with other record labels and Brunswick Records. The Bank of America and other we leading banks became involved in the scandal of defrauding the Chi Lites and their families and the families of other legendary black entertainers in which had retirement accounts and other accounts involving huge money in which lay in these account of Legendary black entertainers. The question comes to mine why didn't the bank just contact the families which then creates the corruption and the crimes these large banks in barked on. Many of these legendary entertainers’ families are put in poverty not even aware of millions of dollars hidden by these corrupted bankers and music companies.

The so called lawyers stated to have been representing the legacies of the Legendary black entertainers have been stated to have been involved in the defraudment to the legendary entertainer and their family. A lawyer said to be thought of as helping defraud and hiding millions along with this banks and those who are connected in

I recently quit my full time job to pursue a new career. This meant some strict budgeting and watching closely over my money, something I honestly did not do diligently when I had a weekly paycheck coming in with plenty of money to cover all my bills and anything else. A few months ago I was doing some bill paying and calculating exaclty how much money I had to work with and how much I owed for rent, car payment, insurance etc. I am not great at math but I used a calculater and found that I was able to pay all my bills while retaing a balance of around three dollars in my bank account. I did my diigence and went on with life not worrying about my B of A account, knowing I would not want to use my account to avoid overdraft charges and fees. After a few days I checked my account as I had become used to monitoring my acount closely. When I opened the account BofA showed me with a negative balance of around 150 dollars.

Looking over my account and tracking what had gone wrong, I found B of A was responsible for the overdraft. All of my bill payments had gone through as I had calculated. I was able to pay every bill I needed while still retaing a positive ammount in my account. The overdraft occured when B of A charged me a "Monthly Maintenance Fee". Hmmmm.... I do not ever remember authorizing or being notified of a "Monthly Maintenance Fee". I was puzzled as to why B of A charged this fee to my account. I could not remember past instances of this fee in ten plus years of my account, however as I mentioned, I never really monitored the account like a hawk. After I looked into it, I found this fee had started about six months prior to the overdraft (as far as I could see), again without my consent, knowledge, or a heads up from B of A. So my account went from positive three dollars to negative thirty five for the overdraft, and then steam rolled into around 150 dollars.

When calling B of A, the initial represatative told me it was my fault. After explaining to him I was never made aware of a "Monthly Maintenace Fee", nor had I seen it on my account prior to that, I had no way of knowing the account would be debited twelve dollars, off setting the math I had done initially to retain a positive balance. The customer service rep seemed he could care less and told me that there was nothing that he could do. I asked to speak with a supervisor. This supervisor fought me on the phone, telling me that the document I had signed when initially opening my account ten plus years ago had the information in it. This could be true but I deffinelty do not know where it is and after ten years deciding to charge it now was questionable. I explained to this gentleman I had been a customer for over ten years and had only a few instances of overdrafting, always taking responsibility and paying the fees. Generaly a good customer, but was now upset that not one of my past bank visits did a BofA representative mention to me that there was a "monthly maintenace fee" being debited out of my account and how I could avoid this. Of course they went on and on about how and why it was going on but after the fact and a few hundred dollars later this was of zero value or help. I fought and fought with the supervisor and he deemed it fair to deduct $117 from the $150 leaving me with a negative thirty three dollar account balance +/- a few dollars. After fighting so long with them I figured that was all I would be able to recooperate.

Defintion of stealing : "take (another person's property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it"

While they may legally had the right to do so because of a document I signed ten plus years ago, they did not decide to do it until ten plus years later nor did they ever offer to tell me they were doing, and how I could avoid it. Bank of America had one day decided to charge my account a "Monthly Maintenace Fee" of twelve dollars a month and I never caught it. Shame on me for not watching it more closely, but there was no reason for me to be concerned. Shame on Bank Of America for not revealing this fee until it had cost me money. I feel that I payed thirty three dollars for no reason, but had to to get the account back to zero; and ontop of that however months multiplied by twelve dollars was taken from my hard earned money.

I recently drove from my home in the Southwest up to the Midwest. When doing so I stayed at a Best Western in Iowa. Unfortunatley the Best Western charged me for a two night stay when I only stayed one night. This again overdrafted my account. I called bank of america, and though they can see this Best Western debited, then credited my account and was their fault, they had no sympathy for me. I am fed up with Bank of America. I had a friend who worked for B of A and they said that ultimatley B of A does not care about you, especially if you have an account open with small ammounts of money. They said most of the time if you have lots of dough in the account, you call and get whatever you want. When people call who do not have lots of money, they could care less about you.

It is so unfortunate that in todays world you have to be constantly looking over your shoulder, especially at a coporation like B of A who advertise themselves as being so very helpful and concerned for the well being of their customers. Just look up B of A on google and you can see how many frustrated people have been mislead by them. 800 million dollar lawsuit against B of A for selling services that where never rendered and threats of being sued by groups of customers and the United Sates who have all had problems.

I am twenty six years old now and opened the account when I was eighteen. I needed a bank account like most people do. When at the bank, I sat down in the customer waiting area and another customer seemed very upset. We started to talk and she, the upset customer, asked me what what my bank visit was for. I told her I needed a bank account, so I was opening an account. I asked her about her visit, she told me she was there to close her account and that I should bank somewhere else. I wish I had listened to her advice... I am writing this to inform and warn you of Bank of Americas greasyness and to STAY AWAY!

Worst bank experience EVER! Bait and SWITCH. Bank of America promotion to get 10,000 Alaska miles NOT honored nor any other promotions. Waste of my time! Customer service at this location VERY inadequate. I did everything I was supposed to as a customer and Bank of America decided they would add a few new rules after I complied, including switching my direct deposits (and you know how much of a hassle that is) to their bank. This will be a number of reviews that I will be writing including doing a number of other "promotions" for them on my Facebook and elsewhere, including word of mouth. I will NEVER and let me repeat NEVER do any additional new business with Bank of America. My 10,000 points "promotion" for them is beginning .. NOW. USBank has been my bank for 20 years. Now I know why. This location just needs to be closed down. Again, repeat: Bait and Switch. That's all you need to know. Bad business to a good (and I mean GOOD) customer.

Bank of America did not give me three business days to cancel the loan .

I have emails confirming the alleged negotiation from Bank of America representatives which I have attached and proves the negotiations were on going and promises were made by Mr. Shute.

As a result of this documentation I find this transaction deceptive and unfair. I will be glad to forward all email correspondence that I have received.

I deposited a 2 checks into my business account of nearly $70k that could be verified by all parties involved including the maker, issuer and my customer. Bank of america held my funds, then closed my account without giving me a valid reason. I was only told that they could closed any account without given a reason per the deposit agreement given to me at the time of opening the account.

I was then asked to send a notaried statement from all parties involved in the transaction. My customers went into 2 diffrent bank of america Branches to proved the transaction. Only to be told it still had to be reviewed.

I called Risk management several times a day and was told my funding would be available @9am the next morning only get a call back from a manager saying the date quoted was an error and bank of america didnt have a release date of my fundings.

Days later and nothing. No realease date and no can tell me anything. They continue to hold $70k of my funds.

I am not sure if many of you have had dealings w/ Bank of America and their short sale department but I livid about word how horrible their process really is.

I have had a signed contract on a house since September 16, 2013. We missed our first closing October 31, 2013. Ok we decide to wait out the process just to find out that the house is now in deed in lieu of because someone at Bank of America let the paperwork sit. This is what we find out on November 1, 2013. The owners agent have been given the run around and is unable to ge the house back in short sale status.

The owners are now being given the run around to place the house in short sale status. No one is giving us a sraight answer and all parties involved have been given the run around.

Now we have had recent storms in Texas and now the roof is damanged and B of A has " " let the insurance lapse now the short sale has more problems.

We have been thru 2 case managers, a missed closing dates, more damage to the short sale and a bunch of paperwork that has gotten lost in the shuffle. I plan to file a complaint with all who will listen. I have no clue as to what the status of the house that I am trying to purchase. I am not please with B o A and plan on spreading the word.

(Reuters) -

Once a HAMP application was delayed or rejected, Bank of America would offer an in-house alternative, charging as high as 5 percent when the loan could have been modified for 2 percent under HAMP, according to an affidavit by William Wilson, who worked at the bank's Charlotte, North Carolina office

Six former Bank of America Corp (BAC.N) employees have alleged that the bank deliberately denied eligible home owners. The former employees, who worked at Bank of America centers throughout the United States, said the bank rewarded customer service representatives who foreclosed on homes with cash bonuses and gift cards to retail stores such as Target Corp (TGT.N) and Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. At the same time, the bank punished those who did not make the numbers or objected to its tactics with discipline, including firing loan modifications and lied to them about the status of their mortgage payments and documents, For example, an employee who placed 10 or more accounts into foreclosure a month could get a $500 bonus. The testimony from the former employees also alleges the bank falsified information it gave the government, saying it had given out HAMP loan modifications when it had not

I am writing this eventohugh this happened years ago but I am still faced with the results today, bank of america allowed a check to be deposited into my account via atm, it was then held and cleared by the bank. i never realized it myself because my pay checks were deposited into the same account and i know i didnt make any deposits via atm, i knew my job owed me some back pay so when i saw the money in my account i assumed thats what it was, so i took the majority of the money in my account and purchased everything my daughter needed and had asked for as i had planned on doing anyway,

about a week later bank of america hits my account with a charge saying a check or money order i dont remeber which one was deposited to my account and has turnned out to be a fake, i asked ok if this was the cse why and how did you clear this and second why was i not informed something had been deposited like that anyway. i thought the bank monitors strange activity, so of course they would not take the charges off, the filed a law suite against me got the fees and crap up to over 3,000. dollars and tried to garnish my wages, sadly this mess is still showing as a judgment and on my credit , I was not living in the area when they filed suite a year later so i didnt receive court papers and of course judgment was granted, straight rip off and out for blood. when it was nations military banking at one time, they managed to lose my direct deposit military pay which had been going in my account every 1st and 15th as the military does they ended up depositing it into someone else account and took months to give me my money back go figer

I had a charge from Central Coast Neutraceuticals show up on my bank statement (they have since been fined heavily by the Arizona Attorney General for fraud). I immediately reported this charge to the bank. They told me to send them a statement that "I did not authorize the charge, and my credit card has never been out of my possession", which I did. I received no reply, so after a couple of months, I called the bank and was then informed that I had not filed this statement ON THEIR FORM (which I had never received). They sent me the form, I submitted it and again waited. After receiving no response for another month or two, I called them again, only to be told that they paid the charge, as it had taken too long to process the complaint, and it was now outside their "statute of limitations".

Bank of America are a bunch of money stealing jokes! We went in to the Cedar Hill Texas branch of Bank of America to make a normal pay check deposit! We were informed that there would be a 4 day hold put on our check and that 100.00 of that check would be avaliable to us on the next day. My husband said why are you putting a 4 day hold on our pay check? They said it was routine! We thought nothing of it and moved on to our daily activities. The next day upon checking our online bank account to pay some normal bills, we realized that we had 4 NSF charges (overdraft fees) posted on our account! So we called the bank and they said we would have to wait till they accutally posted to our account before we could do anything about them. We called back the next day, they checked my account and told me that this wasnt a bank error, and that they couldnt do anything about the charges they had posted to my account two days before! What happed was we have bills taken out of our account on the same days every month! They took the money but they money wasnt in there because of the hold! They will not refund any of the money! 4 over draft fees of 35.00 is 140.00! They took 140.00 from us for nothing only because they wanted to randomly put a hold on one check! We deposit around the same amount of money every two weeks into this account! They told us when we went into the bank to dispute it that it was our fault we paid bills with the money! And that it was a privledge that they even gave us 100.00 of our money in the first place. I think it is ridiculous that they have the power to say when I can and can not spend my hard earned money and then take 140.00 from us because the bank wanted to put a hold on the check! All we are is a number to them! If you are thinking about doing business with bank of america, and you are reading this please take your business and your hard earned money to another SMALL bank, because they did it to us and they will do it to you! All they see is dollar signs when you open an account with them! We are taking our business to another bank! I hope this was helpful in your decision! P.S. This was Bank of America that screwed us not the employees! The employees actually handled our complaints very well and even after I raised my voice and got mad, they were still calm and collected! Seems like they can pick their employees right, just not treat their account holders with respect!

Angela of Jacksonville,FLorida. Bank of America should be plae in the pits of hell because of what they are doing to consumers. The bottom line is that they are making money. They will not modify mortgages. regardless of any reason.

I would like to participate in a class action against them .

I had direct payroll deposit that was set up about 15 years ago. with the economy and companies downsizing i was forced out of direct deposit and the co. i work for now refuses to direct deposit so I am being hit with $12/monthly service fee.

called BOA numerous times to have the fee removed from my account and asked them to stop charging me .. i'm living on the skids of my butt lately and that $12 can go towards a couple gal's gas & milk. they put me on hold; come back and read me the riot act as to how i can avoid those fees: if i'm a student, if i have a gold card...if i have this that or the other thing. end of conversation: no deal - they're still going to charge me...

1) What about an option for those on unemployment ?? like we can really afford someone to take $12/ away from us a month? old saying: when you take something away from the poor they almost never recover....

2) the kicker is this: i receive minimal child support - not enough to cover BOA required $$ deposit amount; but that's direct deposit...i also deposit my pay check weekly from a p/t 1099 job i'm on right now. those 2 deposits weekly amount to well over what they're requiring to eliminate that fee yet they still refuse to remove the fee!

i'm transitioning away from these liars & thieves ... banks make their $$ on mortgages and loans...why hit up the little people who have nothing?!

add BOA to your list of bottom-feeders and find a nice local bank in your neighborhood...so much more customer friendly and appreciative of your business. i can't wait til i'm out of there for good. i would never in a million years recommend BOA to anyone!

thank you.
