My husband purchased a car on a lease-payment option from Best Buy Here Pay Here in Fayetville, Arkansas. When he first looked at the vehicle online, he thought that they only had a location in Fayetville, Arkansas. He called to see if they had any closer locations to us (as we live in Missouri) and they said NONE THAT HAD FINANCING OPTIONS TO WORK WITH HIS CREDIT. THEY SAID THEY WERE THE ONLY LOCATION THAT WOULD WORK WITH HIM! My husband, not having any credit built (as we are young broke college kids trying to scrape by), thought that going to Fayetville was the only option we had to get a vehicle. After speaking on the phone for hours about financing details before driving to Fayetville, the gentleman who eventually sold my husband the vehicle said that he would need to bring someone with established credit to co-sign for the vehicle as his credit was not enough. My husband asked his mother and his father - (A BLIND VIETNAM VETERAN OF 3 TOURS WHO HAS PURPLE HEART METALS FOR INJURIES FROM FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM) - to go with him to Fayetville to sign for the car so that we could get on our feet and get to a stable place. His fatherand mother went with him, his father paid $500 DOWN for him, and his mother ended up co-signing for the vehicle for us. We get the vehicle home, and the interior lights WON'T TURN OFF AT ALL. We had to take it to a shop THE SAME DAY we bought the vehicle to get a WIRING problem fixed. We ended up not being to afford to get the wiring problem fixed (as it was hundreds of dollars), so the mechanic took out the fuses that controlled the interior lights so that we could at least not kill our battery by having the lights on 24/7. Already having doubts at this point about this company and the quality of vehicles they sell. We contacted the man who sold us the vehicle and he apologized and said we purchased "as is" and said he wasn't aware of a wiring problem when we purchased the vehicle so he couldn't help us AT ALL. EVEN THOUGH WE PURCHASED THAT DAY!!! As if that weren't enough, the car's ignition got stuck every day and had a hard time shifting and woukd get stuck with the key in it. We called the car company, yet again, and they said that there was a re-call on Chevy Monte Carlo ignitions. They said we could take it to Chevy and they would replace it for FREE. So naturally, what do we do? We call Chevy and try to set up an appointmen . They tell us we have to bring the car to their dealership. Understandable. But OUR KEYS ARE STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND WONT TURN AT ALL AT THIS POINT. So they tell us to call the dealership. So naturally, what do we do? We call the dealership. The gentleman ended up HANGING UP ON ME after saying he couldn't help us repeatedly. So at this point, my husband and I can't get to work, can't get to our college classes, can't get to church or family get togethers. We were in a rut with absolutely NO HELP from these people WHATSOEVER. My husband ended up LOSING HIS JOB!!!! And shortly after, I ended up losing mine... We tried to talk to the car company several times to work with us and help us in some way. A lady named Savannah that worked there was AN ANGEL!!! She was literally a God-Send at the time we needed it most. She sent us paperwork for financing options, she messaged us or called us every day to check on our personal and financial situations and see how we were doing with things. She was so compassionate and helped us through one of our most difficult times. I will never forget her kindness. I called to work out a payment with her one day, only to find that the company had fired her and there was a new employee in her place named Sarah. I talked to Sarah briefly, explained that I was a full-time college student and that my husband and I had just lost our jobs and the vehicle wasn't even driveable at the moment. She could have cared less. She a ted very rude, snappy, and cold. She just asked me when I would be able to make a payment repeatedly. She said that our car was in repossession due to overdue payments and said if I didn't pay THAT DAY, they were going to come take our car away because of the past due balance. I begged for any option to work things out. She said I had none. After feeling helpless and getting off the phone, I call my husband and tell him the HORRIBLE news that our car was being taken from us that day. We prayed, accepted the situation, and realized there was nothing we could do at that point. So we wait, patiently, for the car company to show up and tow our car away..... Hours go by...... No one comes? We started to think maybe they figured out a payment option for us! Praise God! So we then call the car company the next day to see what was happening and get an update on everything. Sarah said that she had talked to her supervisor - Arlene - and had got us accepted for a payment plan called PPT or something of the sort hat would help us get out of repossession. Sarah stated that if we made $120 weekly payments instead of $89 weekly payments, the car would be taken out of repossession and we could slowly get caught up over time. We cried at this point, thanked God for His faithfulness to come through in the hardest times, and thanked Sarah for being so compassionate and doing what she could for us... Sarah had stated that $120 payments needed to be made every week, so I asked her if I could pay $450 at once out of my STUDENT LOANS to get us to a place where we wouldn't need to make payments for a few weeks due to losing our jobs and not knowing when we would get our next paycheck... She said ABSOLUTELY, WHAT IS YOUR CARD NUMBER? LET'S GET YOU GUYS TAKEN CARE OF!!! I gave her my student card number and they charged my schooling account for $450. I have to pay that back, WITH INTEREST!!!!! But at this point, I am just thanking God for still having a vehicle and for providing an option for us. 2 weeks go by, and my husband calls me and tells me that they came and took the car!!!! I call Sarah at the car lot immediately, frantic, KNOWING she would fix this situation and help immediately, I trusted her and swore she had just got something wrong in the system by mistake... Sarah answers and states that she didn't know they came to take it and she didn't know why they did it and she said she would get on top of it and get back to me briefly! A day goes by. I don't hear from Sarah. I think, "maybe she got tied up with a bunch of things at the office and forgot". So naturally, I call the car company again. Sarah answers, and to my surprise, starts stating that there's nothing she can do to help me, she started talking to me as if she barely knew me or the situation at all as if she had never spoken with me. I thought it was odd. Then she states she never made a payment option with me, and she states that ONCE A CAR IS LIABLE FOR REPOSESSION, THERE IS NO GETTING IT OUT OF REPOSESSION UNTIL THE PAST DUE AMOUNT IS PAID IN FULL. Well obviously we wouldn't have needed to make any payments if that were the case? We wouldn't even have made the $450 payment had we known we weren't able to get caught up with a payment plan. What would be the point if the car were going to be taken anyway? So then I ask her to transfer me to her supervisor (very confused and frustrated at this point). A woman named Arlene answers the phone and states that she speaks to Sarah frequently and she KNOWS FOR A FACT that Sarah never offered us a payment option to get caught up and out of repossession because "they don't do that, once a car is liable for repossession it stays liable for repossession until the past due amount is paid in full". She swore up and down that Sarah never made those arrangements with me whatsoever and she swore she knew Sarah would not have done that to me. I then explain to Arlene that I would not have even made a payment if that were the case and asked her to ask Sarah again, giving Sarah the benefit of the doubt. She said she didn't need to, she just had so much faith in this Sarah and knew that she would never have told me or promised me that. I then get spoken to rudely, called a liar, and get hung up on for being "emotional". You can bet I was getting "emotional" at this point. I later find out that Sarah knew all along that she could not make that promise, and she was only worries about meeting her company quota. She has to collect $90,000 every month from customers to get a $500 monthly bonus and keep her job. Three other people have contacted me through various forms engaging in this conversation stating that Sarah had lied to them and had taken money from them as well after promising a payment option and then later took their cars the same week as well. I now know THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE that has been lied to, and I now have PROOF as well as a lot of significant evidence to file a law suit against this company. I am highly disappointed. Highly hurt. Highly offended. This is so morally wrong. What kind of a company does this to people?

My husband and i are like anyone else we work hard for our money and when our car died on us we needed another one quick. So we went to best buy here pay here and talked with Denise who was all to helpful to get us in a minivan. Things were goig great we had just made our 4th payment on it and was going to get it tagged the following week since we had to save for it cause the sales yax was going to be 900.00.

Well on Thursday morning i got up and got ready to head out the door to go to work and my van was gone! I called densise and asked her if there was any reason they would have came and repoed our car and she reassured us no no reason at all. So just like anyone would have.done i called the police department and filed a police report.

The officer came and looked and.said.that whoever took it hooked it up and dragged it probably 200 feet with it in park cause there was skid marks all in the parking lot.

Come to find out they had taken it and claimed it was because my insurance people hadnt faxed them a bindwr which was bull cause they wouldnt have let it leave the parking lot without ut. Needless to say.their excuse now is you cant have.it till you get tags for it.

That was my only way to and from work and now they want me tl get tags for it and keep all payments up on it with no way yo work. Oh and wont give me anythig out of it. My kids schopl stuff was in there along with a 300 dollar camera of my father in laws.

It was just this companies way of screwing ua over and taking our money.
