BreWingZ Sports Bar & Grill Reviews

I frequent their different locations all around Houston, mainly on the west/north side of town.

Their management is horrible. They have so many locations around the city of Houston and each do things different. When a manager gets out of training and sent to another store, things were done differently than what they’re taught during training. I've heard many stories from different managers of the locations I visit. Anything from an assistant manager being paid more than their general manager, stores with low staff left to suffer with no help because they're the "slow stores and who cares” to that store might as well just be burn down.

Their philosophy is us “whatever we want” when we complain. Yes, I understand the term is "the customers are always right," even thought sometimes we’re not, but their version is just send us some free food to get us out the door no matter what. Take care of the problem/complaint at the store so we don't email their area directors or their home office.

Their promotions/specials details also varies by stores. Specials that one store does, the other doesn’t and it’s frustrating to us. The most popular one is their Tuesday special, I’ve been to locations where I’m able to get their specials in boneless, but when I visit other locations, they tell me no. Beer and wine selection also vary by locations.

Staff members look different at every locations; some locations I see tattoos, piercings, lots of cleavage; some I see semi professional (no visible tattoos, simple piercings and everyone’s well covered. The same can go with the management staff.

I was visiting one of their north locations a while back and heard the story of one of their manager being robbed so I simply asked what happened and if that particular manager was okay. The story I got was disturbing. From what I was told; the manager was robbed at gun point in an alley way and her car was stolen as well. This company put their managers in danger by sending them to the banks in their personal vehicles with staff members, how unsafe is that?

I visited a location on the south side of town one night on my way back from Galveston and it was very slow (food was great though). As I was enjoying my dinner and such, I overheard that there was a gas leak. After a while I started smelling it, but I was almost finished with my meal so I didn’t worry too much. Then I overheard the staff talking about the kind of trouble the manager on duty was in because they called the fire department. I’m not sure if I misheard them or not, but I sure hope so. Why would any type of management be in trouble because the fire department was called? Anyways, I left when the fire department evacuated the building. I, however did go back to this location one night with some friends to enjoy some beer and experienced something different. I witnessed a bartender cussing out a customer and the manager didn’t do a thing about it, she just walked right by. The bartender was dropping F bombs and such and was kicking someone out. Shouldn’t that be a manager’s job? Why should an hourly employee have the authority to kick someone out while cussing them out?

Overall, this company has good food, cold beer, many TVs to suit a sports fan. But they should consider making the promotional details the same all city wide and up their customer service game.
