Brooks Motor Company Reviews

  • Jan 6, 2015

I recently bought a Jeep from Brooks Motor Co, from their lot on Mcloughlin. After driving it a couple days I notice a rubbing sound from rear of vehicle. I took it back to dealership, and they agreed to fix the problem for nothing, I thanked them and dropped car off at Brooks Motor Co in Beavercreek Oregon (where their shop is located) Within a short time I was contacted, and was informed that one rotor was warped, and brake pads were worn including the park brake pads. They replaced parts and did a brake job. All parts and labor as agreed, no charge, I thanked them and off I went.

About 4 month later, this same noise re-surfaced, so I called the shop, and they agreed again to fix problem. This time however the problem was the, park brake pads," hey wait a minute, you told me those were replaced the first time". Well after some posturing, they agreed again to fix the problem. This I thought was the final fix, so I picked up my car thanked them and off I went.

Well..... not so fast, after just 3 days of driving, returning to work on monday, driving through the parking lot a new noise surfaced, same location different noise. Now I'm starting to lose faith and patience, so again I call the shop. Back we go again, please let this be the last time. Later this afternoon I called to check progress, and was told the problem was finally found. The axle was bent. Well this time they did not agree to fix for nothing, although this was the problem all along. Well, after much finger pointing, and lost patience, I talked to the owner. He and his company would not honor their agreement to fix problem, and accused me of bending the axle.

I did lose my patience and raise my voice, but I am not a liar sir, I did nothing to cause this problem. It did however become your responsiblity once your staff agreed to fix it. Just because your mechanics could not diagnose the problem correctly I have to drive a car with a bent axle, sold off your lot? All I ever wanted from Brooks Motor Co was a safe, reliable car. I can't recommend this company to anyone, the owner has no honor.
