Bucket List Skydiving.com Reviews

My experience with this company is that it firmly puts profits before customer care, which is quite worrying since you're trusting them to parachute you thousands of feet from a plane.

I really didn't want to write this report. I phoned the company several times and talked to their General Manager. After the manager refused to resolve the situation, I even found the owner on Facebook, and sent him a message appealing to his better judgment to put things right before I had to resort to this report - but no success.

I had purchased a tandem skydiving voucher for their Arizona location. I booked, flew 4,000 miles round-trip from the East coast, drove tens of miles out into the desert to their airstrip in the desert, signed all the waivers... then it was suddenly canceled for weather. Since I was on a short vacation, there was no opportunity to reschedule.

Knowing that I would not be able to book again before the voucher expired, I requested a refund, given that it was clearly reasonable in the situation since I had fully upheld my side of the voucher terms (regardless that they are sold as “non-refundable”). They refused to refund my money multiple times. I was offered to try again at a closer location to home, but that wasn't an OK substitute for me – I had booked at the Arizona location because I wanted to skydive in Arizona.

If you buy a “non-refundable” airline ticket, you expect and are entitled to a refund if your flight is canceled, right? A replacement ticket to somewhere that you don't want to go is not an acceptable alternative.

So, now this company has $200+ of my dollars in their bank account, having provided nothing whatsoever in exchange – and they think this is perfectly fair (the definition of a scam in my book). In fact, the most appalling part of this experience was a quote from their General Manager during one of our conversations. Realizing that he was not going to make this right, I politely informed him that I would exercise my right to submit a negative review about the experience. His response - “we like it when people write negative reviews because it reinforces our no-refund policy”!!! Scarcely believable arrogance from a company in the 21st century.

This is where this company's stubborn fallback to their “terms & conditions” crosses the line to simply being an excuse to scam their customers. So, if you're planning to skydive, I suggest that you consider using a different, more reputable skydiving company that treats its customers in a fair and ethical way.
