I took my 1996 Lexus into the Hazelwood location in September 2014 for a small power steering leak. I was told upon inspection that I needed a new power steering pump at a cost of $885.00. After one week I lost all of the power steering fluid and my car began to make noises from the pump. I returned to the shop and I was then told that the fluid had leaked into my rack and pinion and I needed to replace it as soon as possible. I then asked why they were not responsible for the problem and he told me that he could replace the rack and pinion for an additional $885. and he would not charge me for labor. I replaced the rack and pinion but the problems became worst, my car began to smoke from the engine and the tailpipeI took it back to 2 other locations and one location informed me that the rack and pinion had not be properly secured and my engine could go out at any minute. .

Let me point out the fact that my car had been inspected 1 week prior to this work done, but I forgot to put the sticker on my plates, so they thought they saw a way to make some money off me. They actually ruined my car. I can no longer drive it.

I took the owner to small claims court and the judge immediately stopped me from talking about the complaints from the better business bureau and others. The judge informed me that he did not want to hear about the complaints. lost me case in small claims court.

I would like to start a class action lawsuit against this company and put them out of business because people are losing a lot of money dealing with this company.

On december the 6th i took my daughters car to Calverts Auto to get her oil changed, dropped it off at 8 in the morning went back at 9 to pick it up. When my daughter came to get her car she immediately noticed a dent on her trunk i had been in the trunk that morning and the dent was not there. They we're already closed so i called first thing Monday to tell them they wanted me to bring the car up but it is my daughters car and she already had it back, so i told them as soon as we could exchange cars again i would bring it up. I had an appointment to meet the owner at noon dec 27th he canceled i went back with my estimate for the damage Dec.29 at 4 pm to meet him he took pictures and copied my estimate and said he would investigate and call me the next day. Finally called me at 4:30 next day and said they did not think they we're responsible but would refund the 108.00 dollars i spent that day and to sign a waiver, i said no way her boyfriend even noticed it when he saw her. They said if this kind of thing happens they would have let me know, and for anyone who believes that, how many of us look over our cars when we leave in our cars to see if there is any damage unless it was in an obivous place.

So now i assure you i will be filing a claim with small claims court but i want to make sure people know how they operate there business and not to use this company i am livid, it is so obivous they did this no damage on bumper what so ever right into the trunk only and from now on before i drop my car offf for any kind of work i will be taking pictures all the way around before i drop it off but never again will use Calverts.

I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra with 90,000 miles. I have never had any issues with it at all. I had Calvert's Express do a automatic transmission fluid drain and fill. The transmission started having shifting issues immediately after this service. I took it back and they told me it was a little low and they filled it. A few days later the shifting issues were apparent again. I had no power and could not go over 10 mph. I took it back to Calvert's Express the manager drove it and got a Check Engine light code for Transmission solenoid pressure failure code. I expressed concern that an after market fluid was used by Calvert's. The manager told me that he would change the fluid to factory Toyota fluid. A few days later the tranny did the same shifting issues. I took the truck back and now there was a new manager at the store. He told me I should have never changed the fluid and that just changing the fluid could cause issues. I took it to Toyota Dealership and was told that the NON Toyota aftermarket fluid used by Calvert's was the problem and that my transmission would soon FAIL. Toyota even told me that AFTERMARKET FLUID WOULD HAVE VOIDED A FACTORY WARRANTY. I want Calvert's to pay for a new Transmission. They are the professionals and should have known not to do the fluid change. I feel that Calvert's changing the fluid a 2nd time with actual Toyota brand fluid is an admission of liability that the aftermarket fluid used the 1st time was sub par, if it was not why would they even change it. It is now a safety issue also because I never know when the transmission will fail and I will not have power to get out of the way of traffic

I was there for a Missouri State inspection and was told my vehicle did not pass. I Was approached by Rick who informed that I needed new bushings and a sway bar in the front end. After the Rick worked on my car to resolve the front end issues. I took care of the invoice and walked out. I got in the car, started it and instantly had power steering noises when the steering wheel was turned in either direction! Please bear in mind the I didn't have any problems with the power steering until AFTER THEY WORKED on my vehicle. And remember it was not mentioned as a problem when the bushings and sway bar problems were initially identified.

Rick openly admitted to me that he had ABSOLUTELY NO FORMAL TRAINING WHATSOEVER ON HOW TO WORK ON CARS! Not even vo-tech training in high school! Based on that alone, I know 100% this establishment screwed up my car for financial gain. Unfortunately I can't prove it as they are pretty good at covering their "shady" tracks. Attempted to resolve is with upper management John District Manager and Owner of KCMO stores Gary Calvert. I received attitude and disrespect and an unwillingness to find a resolution to the problem. I suggested they admit their error and adjust the bill $100.

To no surprise they both blew me off. No worries though, I can use the power of the internet to expose their unethical business practices to protect other innocent consumers. This is the USA...a free country...and I can openly express and share my truthful experiences and they can do ABSOLUTELY nothing about it! On a side note, I am extremely concerned that they are using the State of Missouri's mandatory inspection process to do malicious things to consumers. Does the state of Missouri really want to associate themselves with a shady company that has scammed others (documented on Google and Yahoo reviews), as well as, has a D- rating or below with the BBB?
