I was visiting family in Hermosa Beach and we decided to go to Perry's Cafe at Playa del Rey and had a nice time until I accidentally bumped into a man who turned out to be the manager of this fine establishment, Mr. Cameron Chacker. He didn't even spill anything or was hurt in any way. He called me a F***ing idiot among other names. I told him it was an accident and that it was unintentional. I told him to give me a break. I think he was annoyed because we had 5 small children with us who were making a lot of noise. He muttered something under his breath which I didn't hear very clearly but I think he said "go back to the ghetto."
My sister heard all of this and came to my rescue. She is 5 feet 2 inches and the man was really tall. She pointed at him and told him to f*** off. He then took his hand and hit her in her face. Her head jerked back and her hat fell off. This is when one bystander came to help us and asked the man what was wrong with him hitting a woman. I called the police at this time and when they arrived the officer told me that he already spoke to 5 witnesses and they all said he was protecting himself. I have been trained in self defense and the stance you take is one foot forward and one back with your hand up covering your face. He did not do this. He lunged forward and hit her so hard her head jerked back.
The 5 witnesses were his employees at the cafe. Bottom line the police did not protect us. They did not take a report. I am so shocked and upset over this experience. It was obvious that Mr. Cameron Chacker was abusing steriods and other drugs from the agression and abusive behavior that he displayed.
