I had a transmission issue with my truck and called Carr's auto to tow it to the dealership for me, they informed me that they were just as good as the mechanics at the dealership and cheaper so they talked me into letting then work on my vehicle. They first told me it was the transmission solenoid and changed it. Then they told me it was the wire harness that feeds the solenoid and they changed it. Then the same problem was happening so they took it to the dealership to find out what was wrong with it. The dealership told then what the problem was (I had to pay the dealership cost also) then they fixed it.
They then told me that I had an engine issue (fuel in my coolant) and told me that I needed my injector cups replaced, then they told me I needed a radiator and injectors replaced. I informed them that I knew that wasn't the case because 4 months earlier the radiator, injectors bad heads were replaced brand new at the Ford dealership. Then later on they told me the heads may need replaced and they would pressure test them to be sure, then I was assured that the heads were fine and that the injector cups would solve the issue. I granted them permission to replace them and they did. 30 days later I FINALLY got my truck back (which I instructed them from day 1 was a work truck and I was out of work without it!) So after 30 days of dealing with these people and taking a month off of work I got the truck back. The bill was $2157.50.
After driving the truck for a couple days I realized the issue wasn't fixed (2 of their mechanics assured me the truck was 100% fixed at the time I picked it up) but I was still getting fuel in my coolant. I called and talked to Doug who is their service manager and he said he would talk to the owner and see what he could do to make it right and ever since he will not return my phone calls. This place illegally kept my truck for 30 days, charged me for alot of repairs that was not necessary, and the problem isn't fixed. Total crooks!!
