I applied for a payday loan of $300.

they contacted me saying I had defaulted in required payment of $300 plus $200 extra within two hours or I would be arrested. I paid a total of $500 on May 20 and then we looked online and discovered that they were in fact a scam and did this to nearly all of their customers. Then today May 29 he asked for an additional $500. I sent them a cease and desist letter via email asking them not to contact me that we had reported them to the Better Business Bureau the Federal Trade Commission and ripoff report.com and made a police report and also filed with www.IC3.gov they have called several times today they have sent emails and text messages saying that they're going to contact my place of employment and have them send the money. I guess they think I'm a fool and everyone else is a fool because you can't just contact someone place of employment and ask for money you have to get a garnishment through the small claims court.

..... In my email to them I told them that we did research on them all over the Internet and they were found to be a scam they have scanned many people. They ask for money to be set and untraceable ways such as green dot money card and other prepaid cards.

I had applied for a personal installment loan online, on Sunday, September 14, 2014. I received a phone call on Monday September 15, 2015, from a company called Cash Advance USA that said they received my application online that was sent to them for review, and that I was approved to receive an installment loan for $5,000.00 if I was interested. I told them I was. I was so excited that we actually got approved. The loan representative told me that the payments would be $510.00 a month for 11 months, and I would need to go get a green dot card @ CVS for $510.00 to go towards the first payment, and for good faith. I told him that I did not have that at the time, but I would have it on Wednesday, and I could call him back then. So, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, I called him back, and he said I only had to purchase a money pak card for $250.00. So, I went to CVS, purchased the green dot card for $250.00, called him, and he asked me to scratch off the numbers on the back and give it to him. After I gave him the numbers off the card, he put me on hold for like five minutes. He came back on the phone, and asked me if I wanted to increase my limit to $10,000.00. He said my payment would stay the same, but my term would be longer. I greed to increase the amount. He then told me I needed to purchase an additional money pak card for $375.00 this time. He said this is to cover the additional processing fees, and that it will be reimbursed in the loan proceeds when I receive my loan. So I figured since I was going to be getting it right back, that it would be ok.

So, I purchased the second green dot card, gave him the numbers, was put on hold again for another five minutes, and then he comes back on the phone and tells me that he has to send the loan by western union because of the large amount, and that I have to go buy another green dot card to cover the charges of what western union charges in order to receive the money, and again, said that the money would be reimbursed in the loan proceeds. If I did not get this green dot card, then I could not get my loan. They promised me this was the very last time I was going to have to do this and then I could get the loan. So, I felt like I had no choice. So, I purchased this card as well.

Now, a total of $890.00 in money pak cards, and still no loan. After this last card information was given to them, he put me on hold for another five minutes, and then said he needed to connect me with their insurance department. He said because of the large amount of the loan, that I needed to purchase another green dot card for $140.00 for insurance on the loan. I then told them no. I was not going to give them one more penny. I asked them to refund me my money of $890.00 that I had given them so far because I did not not want this loan afterall. I even went on to say that I believe this is a scam. He said he could not refund me my money because it was already being processed with western union. He said he could not authorize western union to continue the transaction until I purchased the other money pak for the insurance. I told him that was not going to happen, and I just wanted my money back. He kept arguing with me, and told me that I could not get that money back, and that there was a cancellation fee if you do not proceed with the loan.

I am so upset with myself that I allowed myself to fall for this scam. Our family has been struggling financially for awhile, and we are on a fixed income, and I was just desperate to try to borrow some money. I sure did not need to go into the hole deeper than I already was. This has been one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made financially. I just hope that this company is caught for running a scam before they cause any more heart ache on another person or family. Also beware of a man with a strong foreign accent, possibly from India, and on the caller ID the # came up (312)-473-0036, or (312)-788-9647 both Illinois USA.

My daughter fell to a scam that cost her quiet a bit of money. I am on a limited income, but have in the past received loans via the web. So to help her out (and consolidate my own bills) I applied for a loan on line. I received at least a dozen calls over the next 24 hours, researched them on the web, really thought I did okay, BUT, no I didn't.

First I needed to send in 1/2 of the payment amount (250), then there was insurance (200), them a fee for 35, but I bought the green card at the wrong storeso I had to get another one, then there was a problem connecting with my bank for direct deposit so it had to be western union, for the code to get my money I had to send them 100. In the 15 min it to for me.to gey my code it had "expired" so I called my bank---no attempt to deposit my funds. I called them and to'd them to send it to my bank BUT there is a red flag on my ss number and they can't do anything until I send them 100.

I was dealing with a daughter who got scammed, her family, trying to be suortive---no excuses but I was already under stress and had never applied for such a large sum before. So in a whirlwind of 2 days I got scammed for about 750$ in just less than a day.

I will never look at loans again. I AM humiliated.

So here I am, once again, trying to make people stop calling me about some cash advance for $$$, very small amount, which I never borrowed. I have repeatedly told these many different callers to stop calling. I've told them they are scammers and if there is an actual debt it has nothing to do with me, I havn't borrowed any money, but they won't stop calling and not from just one number but several. Needless to say, got a call today saying I would be served to appear in court in Virginia, I live in Washington, to answer to this debt. Go ahead and serve me, I won't be appearing. This is a total scam, people from Texas, Florida, and now Virginia have called saying they want me to pay them and they will pay the debtor. Just send a money order or better yet, give us your credit card number and we can handle it right over the phone. The $200 they say you owe, well all you have to pay today is $125. I've blocked every incomming call from them being able to call me and they just call from another number. Think I'll just throw my phone away and use someone elses.

For several weeks I have been annoyed by phone calls by this guy saying my loan had been approved for 5000. So may 27, I decided to proceed. the guy said to purchase a reloadit card for 156.00 for verification then they would deposit the 5000. They must have got information from other loan applications such as name, address and phone number. Like an idiot I thought it was legit. so i went and withdrew the money and bought the reloadit card. Called him gave him the 10 digit numbers. When i attempted to load the power pay ard I bought. he money was alsready taken. I was ripped off by this guy with an indian accent. phone number was 407 504 5848 scammed and so embarrassed my husband yelled at me. Good thing the prepaid company has record of the transaction and what card number the money went to but it was not mine.

It started with an application for cash advance. I received a call from a foreign accented man and asked if I was still interested in a loan. I was eligible for up to $10,000.00. I only wanted $1,500.00. He said to call the Loan Officer Mr. Thompson or Thomas and he will instruct you on how to get your loan. Spoke to Mr. Thompson/Thomas and he said to purchase a One Vanilla Card and put one month payment on the card. To gaurantee that the first payment would be available-but I would still be able to use the money after they verified the amount on the card. The first payment would be 131.00. I put 135.00 on the card. I purchased the card called Cash Advanced USA/Lei Gen Group. They wanted the card number, expiration number and the security card number. I was hestitant to give the security number-but I was thinking they needed it to verify the amount on the card. So I gave them all the information. They took all of it. They said I would have to get my cash advanced at a Western Union facility to receive my loan. I checked the website about this company and others have been ripped off too--except for more money. Mr. Thompson said I would receive a check in 7 days-(I cancelled this transaction and did not want to deal with this company). Never received the check. He said to call the next day and still no check, 06.04.2014. Then he said it would be put back on my card by 6:30pm 06.04.2014--nothing. He called me a stupid b****. What company would do this or say this if they were legite? This is their phone number 1-551-200-5878, they call from New Jersey, NJ. Withdraw your funds from Monroeville, PA. It also says Lei Gen Group Monroeville, PA Zip Code 21215. I have the Transaction Type, Receipt Number and Reference. They said they couldn't put it back on the card at point. I was told so many different things and lied one right after another. One Vanilla said they can't help because they only sell the cards.

I went online to find a lender to help me. I filled out an application and then became bombarded with emails and phone calls. The first one was CashAdvance USA, in New York #315-755-5128. The man had a Indian accent, but an American name, Rick Jones. Also I talked with Michael Joy (badge #E5879) @ same phone number. I ended up getting a GreenDot card for $110 and gave him the scratch-off numbers on the back. He said it was to be saved in a payment account for the $1000 loan they would give me.

They told me I had a 'Red Flag' on my Social Security number and credit. They wanted $200 to remove it. I called Social Security and they said there is no such thing as a red flag. Then I contacted the three Credit Report Companies and they also said I have no red flag and if I did it could be removed for free!! Then I decided to borrow $2500 (with their persausion) and they wanted $140 more using the GreenDot method.

OK, then they said my money was in the local Western Union office and all I needed was the transfer fee of $136. I did that through GreenDot and they told me I needed another $120 for an activation fee. I started getting mad and yelled and they guaranteed me they money was in there and gave me the Western Union Transfer number. So, I did the $120 and then they said the GreenDot people told them there was NO money on the card I just put $120 on, but that GreenDot would send me a $120 refund.

I could wait for the refund and re-apply it to another GreenDot, or put on another $120 right away. Now I'm waiting for the refund in the mail, which has yet to arrive after a week. I am now out $406. I went to my bank and changed my account as they asked for that information and then said it would be delivered not to my bank account but to Wester Union.

I have been scammed!! I'm a senior citizen and live on a fixed income and needed extra money to catch up my bills. Now I'm even more behind and feel like a complete idiot. Please let me know what I should do next to get 'all' my money refunded. I have another phone number and name for CashAdvanceUSA... Rick Boyd @ (((phone number redacted))) Houston, TX.

I then took a few of their calls, each time it was a different person and they were giving me different info, using the excus of oh you know new employees..they then said i could have a $1000.00 loan and we set up payment and all the arrangements then i was told i needed to prove i could make a payment by purchasing a GREEN DOT MONEY PAK for $100.00. I then told them that didnt sound right and was told by thm its a new federal goverment rule So i told them fine cancell my loan and they then told me i would be charged a $75.00 cancellation fee..but they would break the rules and accept a $50.00 GREEN DOT MONEY PAK. So i accepted they told me the mney on the card was not theirs, they wouldnt take it i could just spent it on anything i needed like a credit card, it was just proof i could pay my loan payment. So i got the card gave them the number then came home and logged on GREEN DOT to cancell the card and get a refund, something just felt wrong. But by the time i got home the card had a zero balance on it and no funds were received by my bank. I then started calling them and all i get is voicemail. Im just sick that i did this...For someone to take atvantage of another when they are at their weakest and in need of some financial help sickens me...I HOPE THEY GET WHATS COMING THEIR WAY... .

i did a reverse phone number search here is the phone number

309-200-3823

The search brought up a company name of YMAX ORATION LANDLINE IN

i couldnt get a address though..I am a good person and go out of my way to help people and to have these crooks take advantage of me just makes me sick. im trying to do as much as i can to get the word out for others so they do not become another victim. I just wish i could get my money back and that these rotton xxxxxxxx would got to jail or at the least have to make good on what they have told people.

I went on online researchiing loans. On 4/25/2014 a gentleman with a middle eastern accent called from 213-814-4067 and said that he was from Cash Advance USA. I was told that I was approved for a $3000 loan. But due to my credit I was have to go get a GreenDot Money Pak card for $150 to pay for insurance so that if I did not pay the loan the insurance company would pay, whichi I did. Then I was asked to send $197 to cover th cost the send the funds by Money Gram, which I again did. Then they wanted $300, then $400, then $500. So stupid me I sent the funds. Then the gentleman to me to call "Money Gram" at 786-406-6058, anothr gentlemen with a middle easten accent said that before he could release the funds I would have to pay $678 because this was a consumer transaction. Stupidity flewed out the window I know I was scammed. I did a reverse directory on both numbers. The 213 number if listed in Losangeles, Ca and the 786 number is listed in Miami, Fl. I hope no one else makes the same mistakes i did.

I was contacted last month by a sales representative going by cash advance. I was informed i was approved for a personal loan of $5000 and to verify my personal information to receive my funds. At which time i did so. I was then told i would have to purchase a vanilla reload voucher at walgreens. I purchased the card and loaded $100 onto the card and gave them the confirmation code on the back of the card. I was then told my funds would be deposited into my bank account in minutes. I checked several times with no funds. I also checked the reload card and those funds had been taken. I tried to call the again and the number was disconnected. My money that i truly didn't have were gone.

On November 25, 2014 I spoke with Henry an account rep with Cash Advance USA and was told that I was approved for a 2,000.00 loan to be paid back over 24 months. What I was told to do was put $155.00 onto a MoneyPak card from Walgreens and call them back to give them the number off the card and once the transaction took place then the $2,000 would be transferred into my checking account.

When I called back after 45 minutes I was told by Dominic Johnson the payables manager that the funds were being held up and that the only way the money could get released was for me to put another $200.00 on another MoneyPak green card and then give them the card number. Once this was done then I was informed by Dominic that I had to pay another $450.00 before the money could be transferred according to their lawyers.

I then told them that the monies that I had already paid I did not have to give and they caused me to overdraft and left without any money. They are now telling me in order to get the money back that they took from me I would have to pay $60.00 or else I could forget about getting my monies back.

They are a scam artist and I want all my money back that they took from me.

I have received numerous calls per week from various "Illinois" numbers. Each time, it is a man with a thick Indian accent telling me that he is calling from Cash Advance. And each time, I have said, "No thanks, I'm not interested." and I hang up. This week, I have stated several times to remove my name and number from their lists and not to call me anymore. Today, I received yet another call and I told the man that I have asked numerous times to be removed and that I will call the local authorities to file a harassment report. The guy then said, "Call the cops then, motherf*****!!!!" This is a "business" trying to gain customers, yet they refuse to cease calls and use such words when you aren't wanting to comply. What can be done about this? I have kept the call logs of each number that has called me from this Illinois company.

They had me green dot them a transaction of 100.00 then 225.00 then 375.00 to get a loan transferred to my account and when I told them I didn't have anymore money to transfer to them to cover the loan they told me if i couldn't get anymore money to them they would cancel my loan and keep my money as a cancelation fee so I was forced to get money from family members a friends I good faith I would get the loan and get them they're money right back and so in two days they ripped me off for 1900.00 on green dot transactions and i still haven't received a loan my money is now gone which left me and my four kids and wife without food or money and in a bigger debt than I went in to try and get the loan.

I'm john and I tried to get a 5,000 loan from cash advance USA and they ripped me and my family off for 1900 in a matter of days. They started off by getting me to send them 100.00 then 225.00 and then 375.00 and then they said they would need me to send them more money because it was such a large loan amount and they guaranteed that they would refund the money back to me along with my loan so I was basically forced into giving them more money until all of my resources were expended because they tricked by say if " you don't give us more money that they would keep all the other money that I had previously given them and use it as a cancelation fee. I haven't received any loan now my four kids are out of food and money because I was trying to get a loan to help us. I used a green dot card for all transactions made to them. The person I was dealing with was named victor Anderson they're full address is 200 west jackson Chicago, Il 60606.

Lets fight this together!!!

Similar situation happened to me September 14, 2014. I lost $500 total. I have filed complaints with my state attorney general of Texas, the federal trade commission and the Internet Crime Division of the FBI. I have included a link to your posts about this scam by cashadvance.com because we have all suffered the same crime. It might be helpful, if u haven't already, for you to fill out your complaint on the FBI's Internet Crime site http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

That way, if they keep getting complaints against this company maybe justice will be served. "The squeaky wheel gets the oil"
