Christopher Lafayette (Founder of cBear Media) was hired through a vendor network to do web development. Once hired, he missed numerous deadlines, would not call or email to follow up, and ended up not doing the work he promised.
This guy initially came off very charming, intelligent, knowledgeable, and movitivated to take on the project. He assured me he was very knowledgable about the industry I am in and claimed he knew exactly what I needed.
I ended up losing out on the money I paid him, the money I paid for the subscriptions for various services he was supposed to integrate into my website, and lost customers due to my websites downtime. I got nothing. I am still on the same site I had prior to hiring this guy.
He knew he screwed up. He knew he had nothing for me. He offered me a full refund in 30 days. After 30 days, I reached out to this guy and he claimed he did not have the money for the refund he promised but will the following week after he closed out other work he did.
After 10 days it was very hard to get in contact with this guy. Finally, he decides to call me at 11:00PM going into a rant about nonsense and how he decided to not honor the refund. He hangs up in my face. I file a dispute through the online contactor network he contacted me with.
I had to file a small claims action against Christopher. During court, he lied about everything. Christopher is very careful with what he put in writing through e-mail and text to not incriminate himself. He would make promises over the phone because there's no way to prove it. It was his word against mine.
This guy is a lie, cheat, and scam artist. Highly recommended you avoid him at all cost.
