CBS International offered a a low rate for a hotel in Las Vegas for a tradeshow that we were going to attend.
They sent us a quote for how much the hotel was going to be per night, which hotel they were going to book the reservation, and how many rooms we wanted to book.
They asked us for a credit card information so that they can process and book us the hotel at the rate they suggested.
Two weeks before leaving to Las Vegas, we called the company to verify the reservation. Unfortunately, no matter how many times we have called at different hours of the day, the company's phone line would go straight to voice mail. We even sent [email protected] multiple emails, but we did not get a single reply! Since they sent us an invoice, we believed that the reservation was confirmed.
Once we arrived to Las Vegas, the desk receptionist told us that there were no rooms booked under our name nor where there any rooms booked for 3 people, so we were forced to pay the full amount of the hotel room (more than 3 times CBS International's suggested rate.
CBS International will try to assure you that you're getting an amazing rate and that everything is taken care of. Please do not work with this company. They will take your money and you will never hear from them again!
This company is poaching hotel reservations from our client and I am sure many other companies. Basically, they pose as a the official housing provider for a group, convention, or expo and people are over charged or completely ripped off.
