My mortgage was purchased by Cenlar in 2012. Shortly after their purchasing it they sent me a check for a partial payment that I had made to the original mortgage owner. Unfortunately, I misplaced the check and did not cash it and the check is now stale dated (it's too old for a bank to cash). Cenlar has not moved the uncashed funds into my suspense account, nor have they moved it into my escrow account - the funds are in some kind of Cenlar limbo.
I have written letters, made countless calls, all to no avail - Cenlar will not reissue the check, nor will they move the uncashed funds into my account.
Avoid this company at all costs, they are very customer unfriendly, and they are appear to try to rip you off if given the chance.
