Misleading advertising indicating they will verify whether a personal check is good or not at a fee of $5.00. I had already contacted the bank directly and they will only verify funds availability for merchants.
it was my belief that this was a service Registered with Bank of The West as a verified merchant who would use their account to verify the funds availability of my check for a $5.00 service fee.
The only service they offer is legitimizing the routing number the bank is drawn on and refer you right back to bank which is totally of no value and readily available online as a matter of public record to anyone. It's misleading and it's a scam which is further supported by the fact that there are no addresses, email or phone numbers to legitimize the operation via their web site.
They also seem to be quite prolific as the company profile pops up everywhere when searching for a check verification resource via top internet search engines.
