City Travel Brokers presents as a travel club able to save "members" money on vacations. As incentive to join, they offer a free plane ticket for two and free hotel stay. Our attempts to use this "free" airfare and hotel voucher(s) were completely unsuccssful. There were never any openings for any of the dates or locations we submitted. Our attempts to use the travel service to book hotels also failed completely as we were charged double the agreed upon price when we arrived at our hotel reservation. Other attempts we were quoted signifacantly higher rates than were readily available directly from the hotel or any other travel reservation service. We feel completely ripped off by these people and would recomend that anybody considering this service to run, very fast, the other way.

We signed up in Washington and are out nearly $6,400. The membership website does not allow any bookings online. All bookings must be placed via email or by phone to numbers that are NEVER answered even when called M-F, 9-5 EST which is their ONLY hours of operation. They will return a call after about 20 messages have been left for the same request. They claim they use resort accommodations yet provided us with 1-2 star hotel recommendations at 4 star prices via email when we attempted to use their services. The company has a BBB rating of D, see listing for South Carolina where they are located regardless of where they say they are from, ours claimed to be a local company and discovered they are not licensed in the state of Washington.

They did provide FREE pieces of paper to claim promised airfare and hotel accommodations for listening to their presentation. Just send $50 per person per promotion to an "F" BBB rated 3rd party company to claim these free promotions and be sure to list 3 preferred travel dates within 90 days of each other but no sooner than 30 days. Promotions limited to $400 per person maximum. The print on the post card promotion requirements was so small that once scanned and printed to legible size it took up 3 full pages.

Now I pass on to others. Travel + Wholesale = SCAM. Travel + Membership = SCAM. City Travel Brokers & Member Services Group Cannot fulfill promises. Compare these websites www.costulesstravel.com and www.citytravelbrokers.com remember to scroll down past the banner.
