Combined Insurance Reviews

I worked for Combined Insurance for several years and learned a lot of good things from my earlier years. As soon as the sompany was bought out by ACE Limited and was taken over y Ralph Gaudio, things went down hill quickly. They teach deception, manipulation, and how to sell insurance b violting HIPPA Laws. I quit a couple of years ago and Combined continues to harrass me to this day. Just beacause I leave their company, they are doing their best to prevent me from working for other insurance companies by using scare tactics and bullying. Its sad really! Combined has the executive staff train down to their managers that the customer doesn t matter. Close 5 times before you leave a sale, do drop is until you hit your number (even if its 930PM) Lastly, they train to carry personal information around of their current policy holders to try to sell them additional insurance but has no structure of getting their policy holders personal information back from random agents etc who las a week. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!THIS COMPANY CAN DESTROY YOUR LIVELIHOOD!!!! Not to mention, they expect you to lose your conscience!!!!!

Combined insurance cheated, screwed and f***** me out of a legimate claim because of silly and very stupid spelling mistakes! Go figger? I should have hired an attorney, didn't have the money. These CROOKS thrive by not paying their legitmate claims!! I only hope someone will benefit from this outrages scam by Combined insurance!!

I had a family plan with this company and have been paying for it for 18 years. Earlier this year I fell and injured myself. I called to start a claim and right away I encountered scammers. After many calls I was offered $50 and only after I threatened to cancel policy.Sufficient to state that all there coverage that I was supposedly covered when a claim was started I had nothing except now thousands of dollars lost to these scammers and the state insurance board could not do anything. Do not even consider giving these scammers a penny. you will be taken just like I was.

My husband was approached in his wood shop several years ago by a Combined Insurance Salesman, and talked into purchasing accident and disability policy. Of course, it was too good to be true. On May 14th I was involved in a car accident, the other driver crossed the center line and hit me head on, that sent me to the ER. I was told I was being admitted due to carotid artery possibly having a hemorage. I filed my claim in July as I missed a lot of work due to other injuries I had, and was put on restrictions by my PCP.

I received a check for $200 (ER benefit)and told that would settle my claim. My husband had called them previously and they told him we were covered for the hospital confinement, etc. portion of the policy. But, we were not based on a technicality. The hospital kept me overnight and admitted me to a room, filed out admit paperwork, etc., and Combined Insurance doesnt consider that to be a confinement. I was expecting to get a check for over 3500 dollars from Combined for all of my claims that should have been covered based on how the salesman sold the policy to us. He said we would be covered for any accident that left one of us unable to work..ha, not true. Not only that, but the first copy of our policy we received was in JUly of 2014. We should have had it back in 2009 when it was purchased, and never received it. My husband tried to get a copy of it once, and that's when they muddied the waters with him and signed me up on the policy as well, but we never got the policy so we could see what we really were covered for.

Just to be clear, I had to fill out a bunch of paperwork for them describing the injuries, the treatment I was receiving, etc, etc. But, it was up to me to follow thru making sure they paid attention to everything, basically I had to do their work for them. I still haven't been reimbursed for the physical therapy and when I called to ask about it, it ended up being MY Fault, BECAUSE I DIDN'T SEND THEM THE BILL FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY!!! I signed a release for them to get whatever they needed from the clinic and hospital...but, you know, thats not their job.

What I really loved about the customer service people is that they are trained to muddy the waters, this person actually had to nerve to tell me she was a consumer as well, and so she understood I was upset that I wasn't being reimbursed as I thought I would be. Unbelievable. Just pay the claim like we were told we would be paid, and there won't be any need to give me your false empathy.

So, you may have an accident, but you aren't covered unless you meet the criteria for being admitted to the hospital, and only then. no reimbursement allowed for missing work whatsoever!! Stay away from these pushy underhanded people. We have paid a monthly premium under false pretenses for many many years. What a waste of money, and what jerks.

Alastair Cumming lead a team of those that sexually harassed female employees under his leadership, knowledge and participation.

Court records confirm the sexual harassment that was known to Cumming and Combined Insurance Mangers under his direct supervision.

Alastair and his "team" were unscrupulous in and out of the office.

Review any opportunities that involve Combined or anywhere Alastair Cumming is in a leadership role.

Do not go to work for this company if you are new to the insurance business! I'm an indepndent agent and was looking to carry these guys for my supplemental. They want you to be captive. That if fine. The problem is the way they do business. If you are looking to be micro managed by snake oil salesmen from 7:00am until 10:00pm. Then this is the place for you! They want to give you a 55% commision on your sales.

You can forget leads. They want you to visit people that dropped this insurance, then the businesses next to them.

These people almost worship the guy that founded this company. They are like a cult signing songs in a coffee shop about the guy. They think it is motivating.
