Ripoff

Ordered my computer almost three weeks ago but has not shown up and no response to my several emails. Am filing a report with PayPal to get my money returned.

This company is a total ripoff. Sent me a junk computer that would not even boot up and looked like it was being used as a soccer ball.

Returned it the next day and was promised full refund. But they kept $50 warranty money. Said there website says it was nonrefundable.

There site said no such thing. More lies. These people are scum.. Don't do business with them...unless you want junk and your money stolen. If that's what you want go to a bad part of town and waive your wallet in front of crack heads...you get the same results

False Advertisement: Configuration and Refurbishing

Configuration: 64-bit laptop carries 32-bit OS - this is concealed in advertisement.

Refurbishing: Condition of laptop and multiple issues show just "used" machine, not "refurbished".

I have no customer/merchant relationship with ComputerRefurb.com and never will. I came close, but glad that all attempts failed. I have never been "rejected"

by a merchant until I came into contact with ComputerRefurb whose management and business practices are too dodgy and unscrupulous to even bother. Point: don't bother.

Here's the story.. I ordered a laptop through their website and got an order# and emailed confirmation of the order. Then a few hours later I got a message indicating

that I had a refund - they cancelled the order. I called the next day to get find out what happened and was told that I needed to speak to the "finance people;" they never called.

I tried another order... same thing .. order, confirmation then cancel/refund. Did they even have the product I ordered? I will never know. This time, upon inquiry,

I get a name: Pamela. I emailed Pamela.... nothing. I then decide to check RipoffReports and I find this is not a new scenario. Now I believe or begin to think several things.

I think that "Pamela" does not even exist - just a name to get me off the phone (the person would/could not transfer me because she "wasn't in right now.")

Is this company legit? Computers that are irresistably inexpensive... hmm.. Is it a scam to somehow get information about my accounts? (In this case Paypal)

Are they selling/validating email addresses? With my first non-order came an automatically established "account" get this "so you can check the status of your order and checkout quicker in the future." Right!

Regardless, legit or not, they are slimy. They will not stand by their actions nor are they willing to honestly engage prospective buyers in product selection, etc. and issues regarding orders. And given what I have seen in RipOffReports, I know others have experienced similar issues. What legitimate business with merchandise for sale and pays to have a website would willingly turn away business - especially since getting customers is the first priority isn't it?

Something smells awfully foul and I am going to keep a close watch on my computer and accounts. And I am not going to use the account at ComputerRefurbs.com to "check my orders."

So: Buyer beware. Stay away from these people it could be trouble.

The company offered refurbished computers at a lower cost. Assured me the computer was working properly. The sound driver and wi-fi connection was lost after rhe first day of use. Rebooted the computer to see if that was the problem. The problem was the whole operating system

I found out that Windows XP was no longer going to be supported after purchase. I sent a text to the company about the problem. They told me to return it and I would receive a different computer with everything in working order. I received the same computer and the caps lock button fell off and the CD/DVD driver did not work.

I have recently sent them a new text regarding these other problems and have not received any confirmation or reply. I have learned my lesson and will not buy refurbished products again. I am disappointed with this product and will never buy another refurbished product.
