I ordered this via a Groupon coupon thinking it would give me useful information about my ancestry. When i got the results it said i am primarily Peruvian. I did another test from AncestryDNA and got the results that my DNA is primarily European. There was no Peruvian or indian ancestry in the Ancestry DNA results. My money spent with ConnectDNA was a total rip off. The results goes into some very fancy gobbley de gook about personalities. Do not spend one dime or minute investigating this company.
Company claims to tell you which country your DNA matches. Two family members did the same test. Two totally different matches came back. We had Africa and Asia. How can that be? We are caucasion decent. the second country was Bangeldash and South America. It was so bogus. We want the public NOT to waste their money.
We purchased this through groupon. We will notify them also.
Purchased the "Connect my DNA" kit from Groupon and sent in my "sample" in mid September. I never received my results after the 4 week waiting period. I called in Early december to inquire about the results. I had to leave a message, but just before Thanksgiving someone emails me (there was no full name attached to the email) and tells me that they emailed me to say that "my sample was not able to be processed" and that I had to submit another sample. I never saw this email until they included it in the email to respond to me! All of this correspondence is via email by the way.
I said, "I never received this email" and it had already been nearly 2 months so I just wanted a refund. I was told that they could not give me a refund because the 14 day notice had passed. I was like, "i never got this email that stated you couldn't process my sample!" The guy kept addressing me as a different name, which irritated me, but I insisted that he refund my money because i was never notified and he refused.
I would NEVER use this company again for anything...deal or no deal! They suck at customer service and they are doing a hack job of processing samples.

Still waiting.
I also bought a dna kit from ConnectMyDNA through Living Socisl. Their website stated that the kit would be mailed in 3 days. It took two weeks to get the kit. When I tried to call the company to complain there is no phone number at all listed on their site. You have to leave a message on their site-it says they will respond in 1-2 days. a week later Im still waiting on that return message. After that i was saying to myself if they cant handle customer service how can i trust the dna results and now i see from others on here that we cant. I hate being right all the time. Please stay away from living social also I am sure from their short and dismissive emails that they will never refund my money. Two very poor companys . Beware !
