Consumer portfolio services are very unlawful. This company should be banned. I pay my monthly payments to this company on time and add extra to cover my principal. However, the money I add to the principal always seems to go to the interest. I call everytime to have this corrected, but they just get really rude and irate with me. Sometimes hang up on me. I always ask them for their names of who I am talking to and log everything that happens. I record all conversations because I know what they are doing is wrong. I need a lawyer for this company. I am also tired of their harassing calls when I am not due for a payment. They normally feel stupid when I tell them that I'm not due for one and they just try to talk me into paying my next month early. And now this year they started the 12 dollar payment fee so I'm now inconvenienced by mailing in checks through certified mail because I heard of this company apparently "losing checks".
Do not invest with CPS! They are certified crooks. I'm going to be the first person to change this instead of just complaining like everyone else.
Oh and one more thing. .. I also heard that the people that respond to your comments in a negative manner, are indeed CPS representatives.

I have contacted several of their employees trying to remedy this situation. every time I have honored my obligation. Still they say that I owe moe interest. I made a payment to bring my account current and also made an additonal payment to make sure the account current. They stated that the payments were never made and that I now owe a payment for May, payment to replace the payment they never received and interest as well. my payment is $578.00 a month, they want me to pay $1474,85.
