We have lived in our home for 5 years now. Unfortunately we are not deregulated. So we can't choose like many other Texans. We are stuck with a company that obviously knows this. And they take advantage of that situation. We have run ins with this company several times. There have been times where our check has taken 2-3 weeks to post and we have gotten cut off. Everytime you get cutoff you have to pay all that is due, even if part of it isn't due till a week or so, plus a $70 reconnect fee as well as pay the same deposit as you normally would have to when you first get service. Even though you have been in your house and been a good customer for years.

Once before we figured out we weren't deregulated we tried to go to TXU. Well they accepted our application but later called to tell us otherwise.

Anyway, back to the reason for this report. This company has the worst customer service. Even for my neighbors who do no wrong they talk to them like they are trash. They know they have us trapped like pigs..........where else are we gonna go. So therefore they take advantage of every situation they can. They don't work with you if money is tight. Pay or the lights are off. No exceptions.

If you are looking to buy a house in Texas. Make sure you have choices in your electric.

Be careful when you are picking your electric company. Do not use CoServ Electric. We live in an apartment that is co-op and we have no other choice but to use them. It is mandatory and I think that is not only wrong but abusive. We have been living where we are now for over a year and at one point we had a hard time with our finances (keep in mind this was the only time). Instead of work with us at all or give us a chance, they disconnected our power. I understand this would always be the case with any company, but when we had it reconnected we had to pay the reconnect fee, our bill AND the regular deposit AGAIN! We ended up paying over $300. When you call to talk to them at all they are extremely rude and treat you with no respect. It was disgraceful. I lived in another apartment before this one and they used another company and we never had such mistreatment or neglect from the customer services and if we had a problem at all they would work with us. I wish we could use them now but we are stuck with Coserv and they know it so they don't have to treat you with any care. You basically have to pay their fees or have no power. Its just wrong

Worst company to get electricity from they over charge you and they do not care if u have no light on the weekend or EMERG u have after there working hours. they have the worst service they over charge over charge over charge. Which would make sense if they had given the service that they charge for but they refuse to help you after 5 in the afternoon and no support if you need them on the weekend. Trust me if you get TXU u would be much happier they might be little expensive but they do give u a five star service TXU DOES TXU. ON THE OTHER SIDE COSERV REPS answer you in this manner ( YOU KNOW WHAT ) I SWEAR THATS WHAT A COSERV REP TOLD ME YOU KNOW WHAT. i wish i could give them 0 stars. i am getting in contact with
