I had called this collection service to pay this debt and was glad to do so. I first had tried to pay this 67.54 by way of the company website and got no confirmation that www.cpsdata.com actually processed my payment therefore I called the company in McAllen Texas to give them a check by phone. I did this and found a week later in looking at my online banking that they had taken this money out twice.
Over the period of a month Ihad called told them what had happened and they said they would refund overpayment. The refund never came and after a month I called to again find out had this been refuned. Now the mailboxes are full and of course no refund. I have reported them to the better business bureau. BEWARE do not send any money online to pay this company for anything. You should write 1 check and do nothing by phone.
Received a returned check notice back in April this year. I called them and tried to explain to the man who answered that I checked with my bank and it was paid on 4/15/14. He was really rude, said he didn't want to hear it, just pay it then hung up on me. Since then they've added another so called returned check from June, again paid by my bank. Both checks were made out to Walgreens.
Today I received a Pre-Legal Action Asdvisory. This has been so stressful and upsetting. I want them reported.
