Was using a paid phone to make a call and got huge overcharges for calls that did not even went through. This was a public phone suppose to work with coins (quarters, dimes, nickels) but it would not take coins, instead it said you can use cards. On the front of the phone it was clearly stated $0.50/min to call nationwide. I was using my card and through a lengthy and cumbersome process I was finally able to make an about three minutes call after several failed attempts. In the process I used two different cards as I kept getting messages as we cannot accept this card or the calls would not get through. When checking my cards I have the following charges: 3 times $ 28.16 charges on one card and a $ 97.07 on another card. I was not informed nor did I authorize these charges.
In any case I filed disputes with the credit card companies and turned it over to them to sort this out. I will not be paying this unauthorized charges.
Just thought to file this report for others to beware of this rip-off.
