Daryl Anness Reviews

I had my 1997 Mitsubishi 3000gt listed on craigslist for sale @ $3500. Daryl Anness contacts me about a bike he had and offers trade. He claimed the bike had clear title and was never wrecked. He said the bike had 800 original miles on it. I agreed to look at the bike. The bike he was claiming to have was a 2008 Kawasaki ZX-6R.

He arrives in late afternoon with waining sunlight. The bike did indeed look brand new, however it was very hard to start and keep running. I assumed it was because of the temperature outside being 8 degrees. We get the bike started and i rode. I then checked the VIN for issues and it came back clean. The badges on the bike say ZX-6R. I decided to make the trade based off the avalable info.

A few days later i began poking around and looked at the title. The model number of the bike was strange and did not say zx-6r. Doing a google search i found out that the bike is actually a ZZR 600 valued at $1000 less than a zx6r. OUCH! If that wasnt bad enough, the carbs were shot due to many years of not running and failure to maintain a bike that was to be stored. Basically the carbs were badly gummed and needed rebuilt from sitting for years.

When the weather warmed up i made it out to the garage to scrutinize the bike farther. I found plastic broken under the bode and then noticed deep gouges in the left handlebar and brade level, as well as a crack in the coolant container. All of this i failed to notice when i first checked out the bike...well hidden.

Finally i got the title in my name and guess what? It's a salvaged title. This bike is not worth the car i traded for it. I planned on reselling the bike. Now i have no choice but to keep it and restore it...which i have already done.

Instead of the bike being worth $5100, it is now worth maybe $2000 even with the low milage. Thats assuming it was a zx6r. The zzr 600 was susposed to be worth $4000 with clean title.

So with a little logic we now know that Daryl Anness bought the ZZR600 brand new and wrecked it at 800 original miles. He let the bike sit in a garage wihtout taking care to drain the gas tank which ruined the carbs. He then got on EBAY and ordered a CHEAP replacement body kit for the bike. He most likely ordered a used body kit for a zx-6r since it bolts right up. He then contacted me wanting to trade claiming the bike was the more valuable zx-6r. He thought i would have never figured it out and i probably wouldnt have either, if it wasnt for the issues i found.

I now claim damages in the total of $6000. Thats $5100 for the ZX-6R i was susposed to be getting, parts and labor to get the bike in perfect running order again, and missing turn signals/mirrors and other misc items. I also claim an extra $3000 due to the fraud involved. Daryl Anness owes me a grand total of $9000 for the fraud.

One last thing to mention. Daryl Aness owns a tattoo shop Jadloc Tattoo n Piercing Dry Ridge, KY. This man is a bold faced con artist. Are you sure you want him doing anything permanent to your body? Something to think about.
