Do not buy Leads from Datalot. Datalot are a bunch of theives when it comes to providing Lead services. We signed up with them last month as a test for their "qualified' live call transfer program. My partner and I were skeptical about the cost $35-$40 per lead but in hopes to close a better percentage of sales, we decided to test them out.
The leads are more expensive because they are screened according to our fltering questions (a lie) before a prospect is transferred to our line. Datalot (and their afiliates Quote Whiz, allied, etc) send a high volume of unqualified calls to us and as I've found out, they do the same thing to many other agencies.
When you sign up their reps will tell you there is "No Problem" to get a credit for unqualiied leads. This is also a LIE. Sometimes they will transfer more unqualiied leads than qualiied ones. But, if you try to return them for credit, they will jerk you around. If you return an amount they consider too much (whether they are unqualified or not) they will actually shut down your account and not send anything.
They actually expect you to absorb a lot of the bad unqualified leads they sent. They don't do their job and then they expect YOU to pay for it. This can total Thousands of dollars. Maybe we got a bad representative. Who knows, they don't return calls. They are just the worst.
