Datatronics Reviews

Datatronics, also known as DCI or DCI Sign, builds LED signs (or maybe they buy them from China) out of Rowlett, TX.

Their signs use proprietary components, which means that if they break you have to go back to them for service work.

Their signs are unreliable and Datatronics is EXTREMELY expensive for service work. They will not sell parts to other companies for repair, they will ONLY repair the signs themselves at extreme prices.

Salvation Army in Dallas, TX bought two displays from them. The signs did not work within the year. Datatronics would not send anybody out to fix them so they hired another sign company to do the repair. But all of the parts were proprietary so it could not be fixed without Datatronics providing the parts, which it wouldn't do. Ultimately, they were dead-in-the-water.

They purchased two replacement signs less than a year after they bought the first two.

Beware any company that will not give you their specific address!

Beware any company that uses proprietary components (including ""cloud"" services, which require their company to stay in business and maintain their services in order for you to keep using your product)! This is a big trend for LED sign companies and is sold as a perk but it is really a huge flaw with their system.

Beware any company that claims they build something but operates out of a house, apartment, or office complex!
