Davis Auto Repair Reviews

This is the same letter that I wrote to the Better Business Bureau on 5, July 2014:

I left my 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora at Dale Davis repair on 31, March 2014 to havethe cylinder heads repaired. The information on the site says the vehicle will be repaired in 3 to 5 days. I paid $1000 on 21,march 2014 and have nothing but stories about how much trouble he's having doing the repair. I sent another certified letter to Dale with another $1000 andhe signed for it on 2, June 2014. Every time I talk to Dale on the phone, he's very rude and just tells me another story.

I left a message Thursday 3, July 2014 telling Dale that i was calling the Better Business Bureau, Dale left a rude message for me on 6,July 2014. Dale says that I can call anyone that i want and no one is going to do anything to him. He also added that he can't wait to get me out of his life. I don't know what to do at this point because he still has my vehicle. I also want him to honor the price he quoted on his site and nothing more.

I spoke to the BBB 2 weeks ago but didn't file a complaint then because Dale called me that same day to tell me he would have my car finished in 3 days. Just another lie. I wanted my vehicle back in 3 to 5 days not 3 to 5 months.

I picked up me Oldsmobile on 16, July 2014. The left rear wheel cover was missing. The engine was filthy, almost as filthy as the shop they work in. Although the engine didn't overheat, at the toll both the engine oil light came on, the bell started ringing and the display read Low Oil Pressure. Of course I documented everything by recording it with a digital camera.

This is not my engine and is definately not a rebuilt engine. It backfires through the carburetor at times and always shows a low pressure indication on the display. I'm afraid to drive it in this condition as the bearings might sieze up. For someone who claims to be doing this great service, he sure has caused a lot of stress. This is my daily driver that just sits here now un-usable for $3288 plus, the fuel to tow it to him and go pick it up. Beware, this is NOT the place you should think about taking your vehicle for repairs.

This guy is a liar

After weeks of nothing but trouble with this customer, I even told him, before I even started doing any work on his car to come and get his car, that I was not interested in repairing his car because of all the trouble he was he causing us, but after his sad story about his life I went against my better judgement and repaired his car. Anyhow, after the car was all finished and he picked it up, he later said he was having problems with the car and wanted his money back, all work we do here comes with a warranty and we advised him to bring the car back and we would be glad to go back through it, he would not, what more can I do. You cannot repair as many cars as we do and deal with as many people that we do and not come across some dishonest people now and then. Because he did not want us to look at the car again and repair any problems that he claims was wrong with it and because all he wanted was his money back, actually he was asking for more back that he even paid us, it was very clear that this person is very dishonest and was just trying to get something for nothing. For the most part we deal with very nice honest people but every now and again you do run across a couple dishonest people. I cant not complain however, out of the thousands of cars that we have repaired we have only had 2 dishonest people. That is a record any one can live with, in a perfect world there would never be anyone that is dishonest, but we do not live in that world.
