I ordered this Bible 2 weeks ago. It was a gift to myself. I work full time and I'm a student at the local junior college. I figured a $60 bible would be top quality. I've never paid that much for a bible before. I was so proud to receive it. It was a very nice looking bible. When I immediately opened it, I noticed that the corner edge of the interior cover had separated just a tiny bit, but I was so proud to have it, I figured I'd just glue it at a later date. The website didn't offer imprinting - so I took it to my local bible bookstore to have them place my name on it a couple days after it arrived.

It literally took them MINUTES to imprint, and I immediately put it back in the box to keep it protected until I was ready to use it. It sat in the box on my night stand, until last night.

Last night, I decided to do a Bible study. I pulled the bible from it's box and thumbed through to a specific chapter. When I reached that chapter, I opened the book completely and when I went to sit it on the table, the entire cover separated from the inner pages! I was shocked!

I hadn't opened it fully until that time. I immediately sent the company an email letting them know what had happened.

This morning, I received a response that thier email address was invalid, so I called them from my work phone. The customer service representative immediately told me that my warranty was void the second I had my name imprinted on the book. Even though I'm WELL within my 30 days, they will not refund my money.

I wasn't after the money, and I completely understand that my name being placed on the Bible may negate me being able to return it. So I asked if they would give me the manufacturer's information so that I could see if it could be repaired. I dont mind keeping the book, I'll even PAY to send it to the manufacture for repair! I was told that no one would take it. Then, she proceeded to blame the bookstore for damaging it when they imprinted my name on it. There's NO way that a name imprint wouldve caused the leather cover to completely separate from the inner pages. The bookstore never even opened the bible! It's a faulty product that wasn't held together properly.

I told the customer service representative that the book is now useless - so even if it could be returned, there would be no way that they could re-sell it anyway, whether my name was on it or not.

She continually returned to the fact that the imprint may have damaged the book. The fact of the matter is that if there was a possibility that the book was fragile enough to be damaged during an imprint, this should have been mentioned somewhere in the description of the product on thier website.

If I pay $60 for a ""genuine leather"" bible, I'm assuming that it is going to be good quality and be able to last a lifetime.

I spent WEEKS searching for a bible that I could take notes in. I wanted a specific bible, and I was SO excited to finally find one that was a reasonable price. This website offered the best deal for this specific bible. It's a very unusual bible that you can't find in the bookstores. It's called the ""Classic Note Bible"" and every other page is completely blank for note-taking.

I'm incredibly heartbroken and disappointed that I spent so much money for something that is now ripped apart. I can't even get them to repair it for me, or put me in touch with someone who can. I'm quite disgusted.
