My girlfriend bought a car from Del Toro in January and there has been nothing but problems since. They had her do "deferred" down payments after pressuring her into the car, which are illegal. The electrical in the car is all messed up, the top won't go back down in her Volkswagen occasionally, as well as the trunk not being able to open and the horn honking while starting the car sometimes. The drivers side wont open with the clicker, and recently nothing will unlock unless by hand. The transmission was acting up as well, there was a terrible jerk when the automatic switched from 1st and 2nd, as well as when she put it into drive.
We took it to the Volkswagen dealership to have it looked at, and it turns out it needs a new transmission as well as a ton of other things. Total cost to repair was more than the cost of the car! Del toro assured us that the dealership was wrong and spent a day with the car and said they fixed the transmission with a new transmission mount. The car ran worse after they "fixed it" and now there's a whistle whenever the turbo kicks in!
This place is a scam, and will lie to your face. I told the manager that I thought that deferred down payments were illegal and he brushed me off saying "oh we do that all the time." The bank that she got the loan from thought otherwise. Do not go to this sham of a dealership. They will take advantage of you, put you in to a broken down car with enough boosters to make it through a test drive, and then leave you out to dry with an "as is" lemon.
