Dell offered me a job. While I was unemployed I paid money to fax them paperwork, drove to and from location, and declined other job offers and interviews. All of that effort for Dell to suddenly pull the offer. They wasted my money and my time. They also cost me other opportunities. I will never do business with Dell or its affiliates ever again.

Hello, my name is Bonnie. I purchased a desktop p/c from Dell. I have 2 crash. I have been a customer for close to 10 yr. After repeated call about them not fixing the auto-pay amount and adding late fee's. i am very displeased with last purchase. Inspiron 11 3000 series. they charge twice the normal sale price, they are charging 29.9% interest, plus the late charge because they can't get their crap together. Now, after 10 yrs. they have me with almost $1500.00. now i'm stuck with this sorry Lap top. i will be calling them tomorrow. also my bank.

What a mess for an understatement for the yahoos I've encountered to date.

I've got a new laptop/tablet (2-in-1 setup) at the end of 2014 and its just been a nightmare since day 1 and the company has like zero care on proper resolution including maybe swapping out for a new one. It's been in for depot center, its been "repaired" in person but the problesm abound. That includes a failing wii-fi, system freezing up, screen dimming/brightening on its on, keyboard/touchpad sticking and on and on. I'm just amazed by the cavalier attitude and "ivory towers" mentatlity with a voicemail that's impossible to navigate or to every speak to a party that has some basic abilities, including that speaks even minumum English and on and on.

All the while now a very hidden rigid policy surfaces of "there are no replacement, exchanges past 21 days". Good to learn that after-the-fact or allowing for some exceptions to the rules for parties like myself and what we've faced.

So the system has now been in their depot repair centr, twice, with the last time at the center for about a week and then I get it back with a letter offering, "nothing found wrong". This even though it was already pre-arranged to handle the items I had to determined with a senior tech to be handled and nothing? Also a concerns it took me hours to backup . Then I had 4 in-person repairs by a mix-bag of a 3rd party contractors with some knowing less than the french fry guy at the Golden Arches.

I then had a supposed corporate-level person (and I use that lightly as some type of subhuman) contact me and pretty much called me a liar all along thru that discussion that offering the depot center had not created a profile that I can not log into as well as some propietary software left on it and only they could have done that since I reset it back to factory with the Windows 8.1 option so nothing was on it when it was turned over to them. Yet that yahoo had to simply want to argue with me for 40 minutes than actually take the effort to address the matter and move things along that just waste my time to call me pretty much a liar. How pathetic.

So what I'm hoping for is simply a new system to replace the lemon I got or try one more fix in the depot and extend my waranty to insure it's working. Also I would like a direct apology of what I've been put thru as well

Again all I can offer is what a mess and at present I'm now stuck with a useless, costly metal box that I could possibly turn into a dart board which is about all Dell could care that happens to it.

I'm in hopes something comes from this but from my experience to date I probably should save my breath/effort. All this for a company that claims to be well advertised as a great USA/customer-friendly and very good support options. What a farce!

After Dell told me they would get a technician out to replace the motherboard because they are defective , they told me they couldn't because they are back ordered. Then they wanted to send me a used computer , I would need to pay someone to figure out how to get the data off (More than a new computer ) and send it back within 10 days or I could pay more than I did to begin with. After they told me the computer I had was worthless. I also bought all the premium support and warranties which is worthless.

I have a Dell laptop that is a couple months out of warranty. It got infected by a virus and I had to reinstall the operating system which I did. Now I cannot activate Windows because the activitation key Dell supplied with the computer is invalid (As per Microsoft). Now a third party contractor in India WHO ANSWERS THE OFFICIAL DELL OUT-OF -WARRANTY LINE wants to charge me $149 to fix a defective product. Don't buy Dell. They do not support defective products past one year.

Twice I have tried to be approved for credit from Dell. I had to file bankruptcy after ending an abusive relationship. I didn't know my ex was going to try to end my life. When I filed for bankruptcy I did not include Dell and made sure I paid off what I owed. That was in 2007. 8-9 years ago. I ordered ink for my printer one time to have the salesman be rude to me and make an off the wall compliment about theivery. I PAID them. I did not DEFAULT,. Dell will not allow me credit now due to this and also placed it on my credit report as if I defaulted. I didn't default. I believe this company is not using fair and just practices. It is no wonder so many people are not using HP, Asus and other equipment and Dell is getting a bad name. It isn't going to hurt the company (yet) but I will be buying my equipment with a different brand name. Tonight I have advised three people of what happened. I will continue to tell everyone I know how bad business this is.

Bought a Dell Tablet Computer w/ a keyboard & free case. Used Dell finances to get the deal as stated. They charged $85 for the case and now cannot access accct to pay bill 1 day before late fee applies. This is obviously a scam by both Dell and Dell Finances. We have been buyers of Dell for a long time but now Never again!!!!! Crooked fraudsters are now running Dell. Stay away if you don't like getting ripped off!

I had purchased a $4k monster rig back in Dec 2009 from Alienware/Dell & began having various boot issues starting Sept 2014. As it turns out the motherboard of all components was failing. I had purchased an extended warranty separately as well as I was planning to gift the PC to my 2 nephews & get a new PC (it was going to be from Alienware). The rep assured me the extended warranty would cover the PC until the Dec 2014. The PC finally went black in Nov 2014.

I called the Dell support line (11/26/2014) & informed them that a friend of mine who works as a tech in a large corporate office did all the time consuming troubleshooting that Dell wanted me to do. My tech friend confirmed that it was an issue with the motherboard. After a 5 min hold, the rep tells me that he will simply refund what I paid for the extended warranty & my $4k custom rig will NOT be covered.

Alienware used to be a great gaming rig company- that’s why I went with them initially on a costly purchase. The number of complaints on service & quality that I’m now reading about Alienware is too much for a service that is supposed to provide high end custom PCs.

If you are planning to get a high-end PC, do NOT buy from Dell/Alienware as they don’t seem to honor their warranties when it comes time for them to support you down the road. As I’m still fuming over this experience, I emailed all my family & friends to tell them of my experience. I also informed that if they are planning on purchasing a new PC, I will give them $100 NOT to buy from Dell… this is how much Dell has alienated me as a customer.

I have bought a DELL PRECISION laptop in feb/2014, and, since I received it, it presents problems.

My laptop started to restart by itself, for no reason. It was working, and suddenly it turns off, and when I tried to turn it on again, it did not work. I pressed the button on/off, but everything I could see was the DELL logo, and after that, just a black screen with an intermittent dash. I tried again, same answer. I waited a little bit, and tried again, but I had the same answer. After a while, it was turned on, but any time was turning off by itself again. In addition, my computer was saying that its fan was not working as well. This computer is my work tool, I invested so much money in it because I need it to work. I lost so much time and work because of that.

So I described what was happening to DELL call centre and, after spending my whole afternoon in this calling, doing whatever the technician asked me to do in my computer, he told me that a person would come here to replace my battery, because it would probably be the problem.

The person came, replaced the battery, it worked for a while, but so the same problem started to occur again. I called back to DELL and the person in the calling identified another problem, about my system, and told me that parts of my computer would be replaced for REFURBISHED PIECES.

So, to sum up, I have paid almost AUD$4,000 in a computer, thinking that I would have the best machine I could find to work with, but, instead of delivering what I paid for, DELL just sent me a faulty machine and, in addition, is trying to fix it with refurbished pieces. I just cannot accept it, and I must receive what I paid for.

I have done everything that was my part in this agreement: I paid upfront the whole amount of money, and was so patient about DELL customer’s service, giving DELL a chance to fix it without any fuss. But I am feeling as being fooled.

I need the replacement of this computer for a new, non-faulty one; just like it would be since the beginning. I will not be satisfied with any ‘pieces replacement’, I just do not trust them anymore.

Hohoho! there are so many reason not to buy an alienware and this story is one of those reason, and i must admit I can take a lot of hit from a company to fill any kind of complaint anywhere, but this is just over the top. There is so many things here i dont know where to start.

So I got a brand new aurora out of the box, told myself alienware used to be a big thing, and since im heading into the video game industries, it was why not get a bomb and goes mind free for a long time! sadly it aint what happen, and it nearly start when i unboxed it! Actualy it made me do all the update without any problems, also since i really , but sincerly dont like windows 8 why not taking windows 7 ultimate edition. From here they could not give me a cd because it was not windows 8.

So after updating that crap i start installing programs that i would eventualy need! So start with autodesk 3ds max, maya, mudbox and then the installer pop up an error, but still managed to install all of them , i dont know how tough, but reading there and there help me figure it out, so it run. Then I installed Warface it force rebot my computer, i manage to fix this game with tweaking the fan control. Then i tried to install Serious Sam first encounter Hd, same force reboot but this time couldnt fix it. Then installed GTA 4 and it didnt let me change the setting which were in low res, suck to play in low res, when a ps3 run with more graphics than a 3000$ computer. Then I tried to install Daz 3d , during install an other error that doesnt install it again, roam around but never find an answer to fix that. Week after I buy Zbrush, guess what during install it give a administrator privilege thing when im the only user and tried everything online to fix that, never work, so now im running a 800 $ prog on a 500$ notebook and not my alienware that was supposed to be used for that, but guess not. After that tried to installe normal maps nvidia plugin for photoshop, same thing dont want to install things because of error. Later on got kane $ lynch + serious sam the first encounter not hd this time.... alienware say not a gaming pc sorry lets force reboot your not so gaming computer. I can say for games that work and let me configure the display they are amazing running on amd radeon 4gb cards, but still pretty limited in the game selection that it want to run. About a month ago everytime i start windows it always show problem with HD G:ESP or I:Recovery, and both of them cannot be fixed when ask because windows cannot access them, which is normal for hd that should not show up and stay hidden and the intel RST take a long time to start. And last week when im using 3ds max and about to make a selection the viewport blink to wireframe till i let go the click, it does that about 1-2 time on every 8-10 selections, just like the computer was missing some juice to do a normal job.

And since this computer is more of job matters i dont download nothing on it and dont go on sites i should not go,for that i used my notebook, trying to avoid most the trouble, still my notebook still run better and let me install everything i could not install here. But I found that if you go in safe mode with internet connectivity it will by pass the admin privilege and even the install error that show up, but when you go back into normal mode, it didnt install half the stuff in needed, and still stuck with nothing working. Sad thing is everything work find into comodo sandbox, no problem except its a sand box.

With all that I contact Dell with my super over the top warranty, which just mean super over the top priced warranty, because it does nothing at all. Everything you tell them they only answer yeah but its not covered, so let me see by remote acces your computer, they do and double click on the app to install and the same message i got pop up, then everytime i tried to call they give all the same answer << Sorry mister its not covered by warranty, us we only cover app that we sold you like mcafee>> Like i told them WTF take mcafee..... then customer care call me, and told them to screw off if they would tell me the same thing again, so now the guy explain me the samething as the other guy and trying to convince me to be zen about it. Told him never contact me again. 2 days after they called again, i guess it was the customer care of the customer care, to tell me the same thing, and told them to never contact me again. Week after they send me a survey email asking me about dell and the customer care. I couldnt hold myself i write to them that if they ever contact me again for any reason other than helping me, I threw they crapware into the ocean and stop making payment, and by the time they realised it i would already have a contract with an other major company, so they could come with the credits thing i wouldnt care, good thing to not put your name on a lot of stuff, living with somebody and putting everything to his name got some advantage. Then Finally it was the end, not more contact from them. I also bought a dell tablet for my kids and because they remove a little plastic sticker with a specific numbers, that looked a lot like the plastic they but on the screen to protect it, because did not have that i bought it at best buy they could not help me out! Went to best buy they called dell in fron of me and get the same thing, nothing they could do, now the clerk try to explain them that the tablet is not even on the market for 6 month and they should do something about it! they just answered the clerk, well nothing we could do, even if we would want to! The clerk was kind enough to make the trade for dell, thx to best buy for that. Its not the fact i dont have money for it, its the fact as a customer i got right, and as a seller you got rights too, and my rights are not to get screw for a shitty piece of craft that is worth less than a Zune, because it doesnt want to char 2 month after bought.

So Make story short crapware is not worth it if you want something better go for falcon northwest! Dont ever by dell they are not the dell you knew, and they just plainly dont care about you or him or actualy anybody that make their sales grow! Also everyday that crapware remind me that i made a mistake with a new thing to show up or not do!

Few month later the game start to crash on metro 2033 running un high graphics and noe the talos principal... what a gaming Pc!

Also when i shut down the computer half the time it restart instead of just shutting down and it comeback with an hdd scan error for the same drives as before. for the other half, half the time it shut down everything up, screen keyboard, mouse but not the computer its still running and nothing will work to make it shut except force closing it holding the shut down button.

I am seriously tired of this computer, now i know that before I am done paying for it, I am gonna throw it in the river and go get an other computer.... why !?! easy to say because with all those crap force reboot because the gaming computer cannot handle games now it f* up the alienfx sh*y things and cannot put it back on at all even if i do whatever the pop up says.

I am a disabled college student and have been receiving help from Vocational Rehabilitation. Voc Rehab bought a computer for me to use while in school and when I finally graduate, at my future place of employment. The purchase was made August 27, 2014 from Best Buy in Columbia, Mo. It is a Dell and the representatives at Dell say the computer was purchased in July, which is not true.

The computer I signed for would not charge the battery and did not recognize the adapter that came with the unit. The unit also emits and electrical pulse when plugged in. Not a static electric shock, but a continuous pulse of electricity. I fear for my health, safety of my personal being, and peripheral devices if I were to use this unsafe computer.

At Dell's discretion, I sent the computer to their "repair depot" in Houston, Texas. There, the technician provided a new adapter, then re-installed the operating system, for some unknown reason. They then shipped the unit back to me certifying that it was fixed. I opened the box, plugged it in, and it shocked me right away. With gloves on, I proceeded to boot the computer only to get an error that it did not recognize the adapter and the on screen error urged me to replace the adapter with the correct one.

I called Dell's technical support team and after two hours of being transferred from department to department, explaining the whole thing to each technician and representative, they finally agreed to send me a box, so that I could send it back to the "repair depot."

This time, the technician installed an adapter daughter card, then sent the unit back to me, once again certifying that is is repaired. I plugged it in, then quickly noticed I was still being shocked. I put my gloves on and booted the machine. There again, before my eyes, was the error that it did not recognize the adapter and it would not even boot into Windows.

Of course I called Dell again, and was once again tossed from department to department, until finally they agreed to replace the unit. But it doesn't end there. Oh no, that would be too easy.

After waiting patiently, Dell finally got around to sending me a refurbished computer. NOT a new computer like what was paid for and their excuse was that since it was purchased in July, it was not in their time frame to replace the computer with a new computer. You may remember that this computer was bought in August, which would have been in their time frame, had it not been at their "repair depot".

I plugged the refurbished, but certified computer into the wall, and wouldn't you know it, this one shocks me too. I did not even notice if this computer recognizes the adapter or not. Horrified, I unplugged the system, and called Dell again. For the first two hours on the phone with them, no one would take ownership of the problem. Finally, I was in touch with a manager that told me it would take at least another 48 hours for the "escalation team" to decide what to do. They decided that I need to now send the refurbished computer back to Houston, so that they can have the same technicians service this computer. I protested, because they obviously have no clue what so ever what to do with it, and they do not even test it, before they send it back. I requested a refund, but Dell denies any responsibility and refuses to refund the money to me or Vocational Rehabilitation. After a quite lengthy conversation, the only resolution is for them to send yet another refurbished, but certified computer of equal or lesser value. They would not upgrade, or assure me that I would get a computer of the same value!

This is certainly not what I, or Vocational Rehabilitation bargained for. There was no previous warning to purchasing this system that Dell would not stand behind their equipment, but instead play shipping games, phone games, and do absolutely nothing to fix the situation or make things right. There was no previous warning that this system may produce electric shock to the user. (A simple Google search reveals page, upon page of similar incidents and Dell's knowledge of this situation since as far back as 2010!) Now, I am responsible for a computer that I am afraid to touch, cannot use, and if I did use it (with gloves on), this system would potentially ruin any data device that I need to plug in to it. Not to mention the fact that this type of electrical leakage will soon damage the electronics in the system. And what is this going to do to my health? If it is safe to absorb electrical impulses while performing school work, why do other companies issue recalls for the same thing?

I am disabled and cannot afford an attorney. Any help would be appreciated. I have recorded all calls, and have notes, saved emails, tracking numbers, and all numbers provided by Dell.

Hard drive went belly-up in Dell computer. install new harddrive and re-install the appropriate version of windows. Now the fun begins (product activation). 1st we try the easy way, use key from license stuck on computer. Oh NO, invalid product key. Call Microsoft (it is their activation processs after all). After over an hour with MS and multiple repeats of both the product key and installation ID, MS says call dell. 5 minutes with Dell, sevice tag not yours, no support for a product which they are calling a laptop (it's a desktop) and customer info not matching. At this point only alternate (if I want Windows) is re-purchase a copy at retail price.
