We were told we could use the $2000 for the first year for travel and then $1500 each of the next two years. When I logged on according to their instructions and tried to use it, I was told it could not be used for air travel. Their salesman had looked up a ticket for me to India as an example of what I could use.
The platinum version included travel which was what they proposed as the best of two levels of membership. Travel was the only way we could justify entering their membership. We are not adding to our home but downsizing. Directbuy purports to take you directy to the manufacturer cuttin out the middle man.
But we were mislead in what we were told. it was at best deceptive if not outright prevarication, a bigger word for a 3 letter one. Avoid them like Ebola. I am so ticked I almost want to go picket and pass our flyers. Stay away. They had a teaser of a cheap Ipad. My wife couldn't get it to work.
When I check on the travel that I couldn't use. Their agent quoted me a price for a ticket but it was no cheaper than what I had already found online.
Stay away from them. I wrote the Attorney General and they were glad for my complaint and said they had other complaints specifically about their 3 day cancellation policy. The one I see here goes back to 2009. There should be more than that!!! I had thought they were telling the truth so wasn't concerned. If I had tried to use it immediately I would have canceled immediatey.
