I would like to say that Kenneth Dixon is a person that deserves to be in jail for all the crimes that he has commited over years to people.
On April 4, 2004 my mother basement caught a fire, and as a result of that the basement had to be remodeled. However other parts of the house sustained water damage because of the fire department having to put out the fire. My mother had other thoughts in mind while getting her basement remodeled she thought she would go ahead and get the bathroom upstairs done as well. And she also had Kenneth do the front of the house by cementing that grassy area in front of the house.
Kenneth Dixon asked for $10,000 up front before he would get started on any work for her, and she paid him by check for the amount requested of her. Kenneth than had his crew come out to her home and began to gut the basement completly out. Than Kenneth came back asking for another desposit to get started on the bathroom, and mother paid him again for him to began work on the bathroom.
By this time everything was gutted, so therefore made the house unliveable, so we moved into a hotel for a month. But the cost of mother, myself, sister, along with our children ages 1 yr and newborn could not afford to stay at the hotel any longer so we left.
After that we moved into a renatal propery that was costing us $1,000 a month that was not worth it because it partially decent, but we were reassured that our home would be available in 2 months time by Kenneth. But that 2 months came and went then he show back up at our home 5 months later with his wife saying that he would need the $40,000 to began to complete the project that was left un-done.
My mother with the hopes of him getting project moving was excited went to her bank and got him a cashier check in the amount of $40,000 and gave it to him. That was the last time we ever saw or heard from Kenneth Dixon ever again. I immediately told my mother to go to the police station, and we did and the dectective told us to wait in line for our money, because we probably would never see it again!!! The detecive told us that he have ripped off a lot of people, and that Kenneth was getting away with it because they believed that he was depositing the money into his family member names and accounts.
My mother lost out on over $50,000, and none of her money was ever recovered, and as result of that left her and our family homeless. Therefore her house was forclosed because of this man running off with every dollar she had!
We still have not had forclosure to this matter, and wonder what legal help would could get to ever recovering her money? It's been 10 years, and to know that this man is still walking free is unbelievable............I want this man brought to justice, and mother money recovered.
