Well I was selling a motorcycle and I put it up online and just a few short hours later I was contacted by this person via text message. Saying the they wanted to buy the bike and to know my final price. This person said that they would be paying through paypal. So ok, i thought. Well I got an email from a fake paypal and saying that the funds would only be deposeted into my account only if I sent $900 for shipping and to pay an "agent" to pick up the bike. So I did this.

Then this person asked for $1500 more for insurance for going accross borders and such. So I called paypal and explained the situation and gave them the fake email address and it turns out to be a scammer. So ive tried to get the money back from the person and no such luck. I just keep receving text messeges stating to pay the ballance of $1500 and i will get the money. the number that they use is (631) 753- 7911 and the email is [email protected] or [email protected]. This person got me for $900. Ill be sending in a police report.

I posted my RV for sale thru my local internet clasified provider. I got a text message a few hours later by someone named Douglas Carl who said he wanted to by my RV but he lived in Texas and due to his job, he would need to have a pick up agent take the RV to where he lived and he would pay for it thru Paypal. I notifed him I had a paypal account and I would send him the request for money. He said that he would send the money, but the pick up agent would not come unless I sent them the $900 dollars that they were changing for the service. Douglas or who ever it really is, said he would add $1000 to the amount I wanted for the RV so I could send the $900 dollar via Western Union to the agent in Texas. I got a fake email from [email protected] saying they were paypal, I checked my paypal account and no money was received. I notified Paypal about the scam and they verified that it was indeed a scam.

This is what Paypal sent me.
