I was on a website completing a survey, then when done 3 companies pop up because you qualify for a free sample, like a gift for completing the survey. I looked at the 3 samples and I chose the E-Cigarett one, I am not a smoker but I wanted to give it as a gift, the website said clearly, you will only have to pay for the shopping which was 4.95, I remember reading everything I saw, but apparently not, If anyone runs across this make sure you read it very well. I paid for the shipping, but this is where they get you, they now have your card number and information.
I called my bank they said they couldn't do anything about it because I had already purchased from them, which was the 4.95 shipping. So I had to call them, they said I'm sorry the website said this was just a sample and you after 14 days, are subscribed with a memebership!!! for 109.67. She then says we will refund you 40.00 back, I said no I want my money back, I have not open the package, I'm not a smoker and I was going to give it as a gift to a friend who is try to stop smoking, she then said oh okay, so we'll transfer the membership over to them, I said no I will send it back to you and I want my money back. She put me on hold I have to ask my manager, okay then. Manager comes on, some how she sounds the same, same accent same voice, but now she's the manager!!!
I told her the same thing (didn't want to get into I thought she was the same person), she said okay we can refund you 79.99 and the balance is for the sample we sent!!! I said no, I will report your fraudulent activities, I want my money back and I'm sending the sample back. Oh no you can keep it we will refund you the 109.67 and keep the sample, I said no I'm sending it back, oh no give it to a friend, I said I don't want to give to anyone anymore, I'm sending it back to you, okay let me give you an RMA#. Wow, so all along they could do this, they just were refusing too!!! Good to know. Lesson learned, will never accept a free sample, pay shipping only!!! What a scam, and I must say what a dummy I was for beliving it. The fact still remains if I'm getting my money back? I will let you all know.
