I do not believe that East Coast Mechanical is a reputable air conditioning company to do business with. They were to install a new air conditoning system which was to correct a problem of not sufficently cooling a back bedroom. They charged me for a new outside unit, new inside unit, new stand, and a new supply duct to the back bedroom.

Unfortunately, this didn't correct the problem with insuffiecent cooling of the back bedroom. After numerous calls to their "customer service dept."(more on that later) they finally tell me that there is nothing they can do other than tear out all my insulated metal ductwork and replace it with their new flex ducts costing me several thousand more dollars on top of the $5000 I had already paid them.

They tell me you can't mix flex ducts with steel ducts! I asked them why and they couldn't explain. I asked them why did they install a flex duct to existing steel duct system at which point they said goodby and hung up.

As for their customer service department I am sorry to say is very dissapointing. They do not return calls, ignore calls, give you the run around when you get a hold of someone or transfer you to a voice message system that never returns your call.

I hope the the owner, Jose Ramirez, and his managers don't sleep well at night knowing how they rip off their customers. I thought there were laws against taking advantage of senior citizens.

My huband and I are Senior Citizens!!!!

"ECM"Service company two times disappointed us. We signed up for a yearly service contract for plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, coverage on repairs and replacement parts for kitchen appliances and airconditioning.

My toliet didn't flush quick enough so I called and a very nice service guy showed up and immediatelly said we needed two new toilets. They weren't leaking they were only slow in flushing and probably only needed just new parts in the tank. I wasn't given the option to fix them just that he was ready to sign us up for two new Toto toilets. We gave a $200.00 deposit to the serviceman. When he left, 5 minutes later we came to my senses and called to cancel the order from ECM. They canceled the order but also the the serviceman was here to also check our microwave that was making a loud sound. When he told us it needed a new Resistor and a Capacitor and put in an order. Well when I canceled the toilets they also canceled the parts for the micro without informing us. When I called they gave me the run around have to speak to this one then that one. I kept calling and finally got a message they canceled order still checking will call me back now week and a half later called again and then run around again and then a message on my phone we don't replace parts. I have a written order form and signed to replace parts and guess what? no fixing of my microwave after the long run around they are not fixing the problem and they hung up on me.

They are a scam company!!! Take good money and give all excuses not to do the work.
