My wife purchased the Electricity Freedom project download for me. It promised to provide specific directions via video and written documentation to build a bio-generator as well as an aeriel generator. It also promised to provide unlimited support. It was stated that it was so easy that an 8 year old cold do these projects and it was all constructed with materials that were around your home, or you could purchase at any hardware outlet store. The end results were promised to turn grass clippings into energy and also provide free energy from thin air with the aerial generator. Sounded great.
The email came, as described. There were linked to two different pages that allowed me to download the parts lists and the videos. The email also had an email address for technical support. So far so good. All I had to do was find all the parts.
Bio-Generator: I read the list of parts, watched the videos and began looking for the parts online. The major components were nearly impossible to find. The 42 gallon horizontally mounted tank were not available except from China, but I had to buy them in bulk (500.) I talked to three different area wholesale plumbing places and they either had never seen one like this, with the exception of one old-timer who hadn't seen one in many years. I finally found one that might work at a tractor supply place, which cost me $179. Again, not the same unit, but it might work. I emailed the tech support address that was provided with the download email. I got a response two days later stating the following:
"Hello, and thank you for contacting us.
The materials and components used are easily found around the house,
and if not, at your local general store.

The 2nd component was a rotary air compressor. In the video they show the tag on the side of it. Not knowing what a unit like this was used for, I stopped in at an electric motor repair shop, a heating and air conditioning center, an auto parts store and am appliance repair store. None of them had ever seen such an item and didn't know where to turn. I finally got on the internet and did a search for the manufacturer, which had been bought out by another company. After speaking with three different customer service and technical reps, I was able to speak with an engineer that told me that those units came from old stand alone respirators that use to be used in hospitals. That sort of equipment had not been manufactured in over 15 years. Today, hospital patients use the hospital oxygen system. Stand alone units don't have individual pumps, they are all built into the units and combined with other electronic components, etc.
I started to search for other equipment that could work in place of this old / unavailable unit and came up with an air motor. Of course, there were not enough details about what this unit was supposed to do, so I am guessing on the air flow, speed, etc. I contacted a manufacturer of these air motors and talked to one of their engineers. He asked me if I was trying to build a green energy machine, because he got calls at least once a week for people trying to do the same thing I was doing. The problem is that the motors they have are "air-hogs" and decomposing materials in a tank could not provide the needed volume nor torque to turn a generator to make electricity. None the less, the unit he would recommend if I wanted to try to do it anyway was over $200. One complication is that the unit in the video (again, specifics were not posted on the list of parts) had an external power source that you plug in to use the compressor to pressurize the 42 gallon tank, then unplug and the back pressure of the system would keep the compressor working for up to 48 hours. The air motors that are available now don't have the external power option. Perhaps I am looking at the wrong type of motor. Tech support would be nice here. . . .
Aerial Generator - Warning . . . COULD BE DANGEROUS: The directions and video on this project are vague. There is no discussion of the science behind the project that produces electricity. It simply tells you how to create a circuit board, then gives you a bunch of links to get capacitors which you then attach to the board. The board is then connected to an aluminum sheet, and to whatever you are trying to power. Because there was no discussion of how this thing worked, I did some research and found out it is based on a concept developed by N. Tesla. So literally, I simply had to build the board, attach the capacitors, paint an aluminum sheet and connect it all together and I could have electricity. So I started to look for capacitors. The instructions didn't tell me how many of what size I needed to order. The video didn't mention what size the capacitors were that were being soldered in place. I counted over 400 capacitors with over 800 solder points. There was a warning that if you connected any one of them wrong, it would ruin the board. The circuit board they have you build doesn't have labels on it telling you the size nor orientation either. Nor does it show positive or negative for connecting anything else. The video also had a light board that this unit powered, and it looked like there was a transformer used. . .but nowhere did it mention it in the parts list not the on the video. I then realized that this thing could be dangerous. If this thing grabs stray electricity from the atmosphere, pushes the current through hundreds of capacitors and creates enough juice to brightly light four light bulbs, there is the potential that someone could accidentally touch a connection and get one heck of a shock. The output voltage isn't discussed anywhere so please beware if you do this project: There may be enough voltage to kill you. I mean. . . who knows, right? None-the-less, I have a degree in electronics and would be willing to give it a try, but still needed just a bit more information, like how many capacitors to buy of each.
I again attempted to contact customer support via the email that was first provided to me. Two days later, I received the exact same email response as before. Obviously it was a form letter and they did not intend to support me nor my questions.
I did go back to the original email and noted another link for support. When you click on it, it takes you to a 3rd party company with a different name: Software Projects Inc. No mention of these two products anywhere on their web site. I did find a phone number, and chose an option for customer service. The one bright spot in this whole thing is that a live person eventually came on the phone and spoke with me. They were not familiar with the company Electricity Freedom, nor how anything worked. They could not provide me with any technical support and they were amazed at my story. However, they did see our order in their records and did have the power to refund me my wife's investment. I feel confident that will go through. If not, we will petition the credit card company to reverse the charges.
I am very disappointed in this project as it looked very promising. I should have known by the advertisement that my wife bought this thing from that something was wrong. There was no company information, and you had to listen to the entire story to even order it. From there, there was no option to speak directly with a person, except for a third party company that looked like a software company. I have a sense that from the lack of support and inability to contact anyone from the actual company, this is all a scam that in the end, can't work. However, I am going to try to complete these two projects because I have hundreds of dollars already invested. If it can be done it is because of my background and probably determination with a bunch of trial and error. But their promises of an easy project that an 8 year old could do, with materials that are easily found are far from the truth at best and a scam at worse.
What a scam! I feel for you. I had to go through about 20 fake scam sites to finally come across an honest review. These companies need to feel the wrath of legal action.
